[REL][WIP] Conan The Barbarian Outfits

But I guess is not a big deal , I am not making a 100% reconstruction to showcase the movie but to be played right?
No, it's not a big deal, especially considering your reproducing a movie prop which can't always be viewed from every angle. As the creator you are certainly entitled to some artistic license when it comes to filling in the gaps. Again, great work.

That looks great. It will fit in well with the vanilla style too.

I finished the Low poly and uvmapped it , I am now extracting normal maps , and refining the low poly model ...

Here is the basic 2800 polygons low poly model , I can cut more polygons once I will have made the normal maps . then I will try to add some fur alphas as well to give some scattered furs ...

PRobablyu I could cut the polycount to 1500 ....

the texturing may take a while tough hope the rigging won't take much ....

Thankyou ...

Here is an update on the normal map extraction , I did it fast and rough couse wanted to see the effect , what do you think ? by close has more details I am thinking to sharpen a bit some , then I need to fix the fur seams , then add some alpha layers for some alpha parts and polish it up , after this I add smaller details in 3d like big rivets and I will delete unnecessary polygons from unseen parts , then pass to texturing it ...
and finally rig it ....

Looks good, only 1 suggestion
add some planes with some fur on the edges so the fur looks a bit more realistic and not jsut like some fur on a shape

Yes those are worked out in the latest mesh for lowpoly when I remove unseen polygons , I already done it tough , the only issue now I am having is with the rotated bones when importing theskeleton , seems the importer isn't working wellor may be there is somethingelse wrong , I need to find a solution for rigging this well ...

Wouldnt it be easier to recreate the skeleton and then rigging it?

Why?

Because you said the bones are rotated, or can you just rotate them back?
I havent had time to import the skeleton yet, but my point is that it might be faster to recreate it instead of having to fiddle with all kinds of stuff

I don't think the game woudl accept a different skeleton for the player character as it's the same for all , If was a different custom creature may be woudl be different ...

I could relese a prerelease alpha via pm to someone that is willing to help me find all bugs and a way on how to improve and give it a more solid look , for some reason to me right now it looks like a fur slips but not like the "Conan Fur slips" i donot know if this feeling is due to the fact that the character is not as bulky as conan or if the slips are too few bumpy ... compare it to the outfit of the executioner or the ones form the fornsworth and tell me what to change, I still am not satisfied by the fur , I probably did wrong to not directly sculpt the fur over it and just paint it it would have given a more 3d effect but now it's to late , ... I tought that putting a more realistic fur woudl have looked better but in effect it does not really "blend" well with the rest of the style of the game ...

I need feedback now guys !

ask me to compare this with other things or sugest what to change !

I have checked the fur of the iron gauntlets , actually the fur in those look crap as is just vertical lines of bump and a puffy border for them at the terminations , but it does the work and gives the effect after all ....

I think I have fixed the rigging and now seems smooth and fine ...

I have made the _0 and_1 versions and the _go version , now I have just to improve the textures ... I have an alpha ready for who wants to "seriously" help me test it ...

Ok I have released now the Fur Slips in two versions :

Sabertooth Tiger Fur and Wolf Fur :

I hope you like it ..

please provide me feedback of what you think , what bugs you may find and what sugestions you may have to improve it ....

and Endorse the file if you like it so to increase the visibility thanks ....

This is totally made from scratch and is a totally new file , actually it replaces the Bandit skirt armor but when CK comes out I will make it a different armor craftable .... or buyable ....

other versions may come ...
