Could not stop laughing

Some humor to brighten up your day.

Was with Curie heading across land when I saw Preston walking toward me. I was confused since he should've been at the castle.

After he was close could see that he was not right. He introduced himself as Preston, and I replied that I knew Preston. Said something else and the said 'crap' and took off running.

I thought, synth trying to impersonate him, so I hurried and shot him with my Guass gun. You know those times you shoot something and it flies way high into the air. Well, he did and I'm watching then like 'oh crap' I move back because he's about to land on me.

He hits the ground and Curie says, "That's what you call big ouch, yes?"

Omg, I had to pause the game, for the life of me, I could not stop laughing.

Anyone else have a moment where not smile or chuckle, but a huge laugh from the game?

Last night after gunning a group of raiders down and having the 'Bloody Mess' perk trigger in the middle of them (leading to them all exploding), Deacon stopped, stared at the gigantic gory mess everywhere, and said,

"Ya know, I've got a strong stomach... but damn."

I couldn't stop giggling.

So wait, was he a synth or not? I've never heard of any of the companions being replaced with synths.

I just started to travel with Curie and when I looted some dead ghouls, she said "You better wash your hands after touching a corpse." LOL Or, "Shouldn't that best be left to the coroner?" Or something like that. :)

Oh and I am in a romance with Danse and he totally surprised me yesterday. I either walked past him or just stood close to him and he said. "I like it when you are close to me!" awwww :D

Yea, I came across the Preston impersonator a long time ago and I was like "I know Preston!" and he was like OH Crap and ran away LOL

You know there's that feature of your character making comments when you skip through often heard dialogue. I just started over and skipped over Prestons and my character goes, blah, blah, blah through all of Preston's rambling.

Okay, that's good! I like Deacon, shot him by mistake and kept yelling, "Ow..ow..ow....ow.."

I'd love to see more humour in the game. It does have some genuinely funny dialogue, but could definitely do with more.

Also, the settlers having a joke amongst themselves would be a nice touch. I get tired of hearing how everything is so hard for them. In real life nearly every group has it's joker and would be nice to see your settlements have one too :)

I was talking to one of the a-holes up at the bar in Diamond City. Then, Wellington came up from behind and said something like, "I'll be bringing out the cheap moonshine so miss can drink in a manner more suitable to her." Made me laugh. He also went on to say something about how low class I am, but I can't remember how it went. He's become one of my favorite NPCs.

So Hancock tells me his entire life story of how he became mayor of Goodsprings. When I exit the conversation, Piper (who was right behind us the whole time) says, “Nothing stays hidden forever, not if I have my say.”

Sounds like a certain reporter needs to have her ears checked.

Sadly, you can't be rude in return. You just have to let him insult you and stay all polite.

Yeah. lol.

This is where my giggles are at. Skip vendors' talks and my character went "sure", "uh-huhh", "blah blah blah"

It's just an impersonator. I ran into him in one of my games. For me it was a bit odd because I had just sent Preston to the Castle to retake it. I was heading over there myself when I ran into him.

Anyway, he introduced himself to me and I responded with something like, "Yeah, and I'm the general.". He laughed at my little joke, told me about how he was rebuilding the Minutemen, then asked if I would donate some caps. So I responded with, "No, I really am the general.". That's when he said "Oh, crap!" and ran off. I didn't shoot him, though.

Curie is a cutie when she speaks. My favourite line she says when you loot dead bodies is that "I think the normal procedure is to file a police report, no? And all the evidence goes into little baggies..." I just find that so charming, although she has said it over 5 times now.

My favourite part in the game so far was also Curie... the part when you first meet her. If you keep denying you're from Vault Tec she lowers her standards over and over again (from Vault Tec security, to any Vault Tec employee, to maybe someone the authority was transferred to, to maybe you lost your papers) in the desperate hope that you will authorise her to open the door. Finally, if you still refuse to play along, she gives up and feigns malfunctioning audio circuits "I distinctly heard you say yes" and proceeds to open the door regardless. She is so cute I really didn't want to transfer her into the synth body because I loved her robotic voice, but there was no way I could improve my relationship with her, and it seemed cruel to not allow her. I miss the robotic Curie dearly, though...

drink any alcohol and then do it, even funnier.

Funniest thing I ever heard were these raiders near trinity tower who tell a story of some random guy who apparently led an 'assault' on the tower with an imaginary motorcycle and grenades while the mutants stared at him in confusion, the story is too lengthy to repeat word for word but it was pretty hilarious.

I just did the U.S.S. Constitution questline and tbh, I was more or less giggling from start to finish whenever I talked with one of the crew. And in between, whenever I thought about the whole hilarious idea.

And then, when I got the broadsider.

And then, when I watched the maiden voyage.

Whoever came up with this idea - pure gold.

I remember the ship getting underway, thought, ohhhh this is great! Then I'm saying, turn...turn....TURN!!! Then I heard Ironsides on the intercom. I knew for sure then I made the right choice.

Was at it again. Put a load of lead through Abernathy's chest, while clicking through the motions. Was a good sport, actually, and didn't mind. Another Rofl moment for me.

So I was trying to find my way around this one area when I was trying to do the Synth Retention quest for the Institute (yeah, I am playing through that one for my first playthrough), when I aggro'd a mirelurk mob with a skull in it's name. Crap! So here I am, running in circles like a chicken without it's head, and while trying to find Nick I run in to this group of 4 to 5 Raiders. 1 of which has a Missile Laucher which promptly blows me sky high.

It wasn't funny when it happened, but man it was hilarious in hindsight. A Raider with a Missile Launcher had no regard for the safety of his allies by firing a missile at someone whom was like 1 yard away from him. EPIC! With friends like these, who needs enemies, am I right?
