Much more time for polishing XMAS is a good time to sell... but the competition is fierce, EA must know what they are doing, might be much better for an early 2011 release.

The new release date is nothing but a publicity stunt.
Many good games will come out this year like Cod7, halo etc etc. I am sure EA doesn't want Crysis 2 to go unnoticed.

If its going to be delayed, it better be optimized and ready for Pc platforms as well as others for Maximum Gaming prowess.

I have far more faith in Crytek than the Blizzard "I would finish Diablo3 but getting down of this mountain of cash that W.O.W brings in is just too hard guys" Developers :-)

I don't mind .

Plenty of games coming out the end of this for me to play and this gives the developers the chance to improve or add things to Crysis 2.

I was expecting this, since Medal of Honor is due to release also in November. Gamers will probably go for MOH for multiplayer, because of lower requirements better gameplay and stuff. This is probably what put them to think wether or not to release it in november. To me it doesnt realy matter, the game only benefits from it

IMHO the MP side of the game have a great problem,
are the only ones that have not showed at E3

MP is going to make a debut in Gamescon this August.

kinda to be expected imo, there is just to much competetion in the shooter genre in the time before christmas, i think this is like BC2, to much shooters, delay and give the devs some more time to polish the game.

and... MOH is EA's other big shooter, they want it to sell good, 1 less shooter in that timeframe might help

next: COD is being hyped, so is MOH, but crysis??? no never seen any hype. delay is prob the best thing and a Q1 launch can give good sales(looks at BC2)

i know but I have my doubts after support for Wars (Knock Knock Thread disappeared) and in any case BFBC2, COD and MOH BO come out for Christmas are at high risk of C2 sales

I can say I am kinda dissapointed from Crytek... Not only they delay the game for the first quarter of 2011 (whick means it could be released in March or April 2011!!) but also the are delaying further and further the 2nd episode of CrysisTV... A bit more responsibility from their side wouldn't be bad! I hope all this delay is for them to make things better, not worse... They really want to damage Crysis's good reputation that I think the have worked hard to gain...

Killzone 3 and GoW3 will release in Q1 as well, so I doubt it's just a marketing "stunt". I'm really happy they delayed it, as their past games would've needed more time. Especially the multiplayer.

I have MoH, and Black Ops on pre-order, when I get my sticky mits on them, they gunna keep me busy enough to span the gap, in the meantime, I can run BFBC2 and wait to see what the new offer is from the Gun Club, :-)

So I am pretty sure I can manage to wait For Crysis 2 without killing myself, lol. :-]

They want to make the game better. After-all, call of duty svcks, and Medal of Honor looks good. Halo Reach will attract a lot too.
