According to this EA is the reason the games getting delayed. Its not crytek to make the game better.

I was actually kinda hoping that it would be delayed, firstly because I want to finish building my new pc before crysis 2 comes out, and secondly (and more importantly) now crytek has more time to make crysis 2 the greatest game of all time.
How long does it take you to build a PC? Its terrible news!
Well I'm only 14 and I don't have a job, So it will take me awhile to get enough money to buy the parts. Building the actual computer wont take too much time.

I just hope that crytek doesn't do to Crysis 2 that obsidian did to Alpha Protocol, delaying it to the point where it pisses everyone off and then the game still svcks when its released

You're right. Look how much games are going to be released around the end of the year. Crysis is a great game, but can be put down to the ground because of other games like COD or Halo which are dominant titles to many people.

Releasing the game during a time when the fire is a little down, is a good time to release it. I think they will benefit at that time.

Screw trying to build a new PC for Crysis 2. I will enjoy the game much more from my lazy boy in front of my 52 inch 1080P 120Hz Sony HDTV & PS3.

I hope this delay is worth it. They are pushing people beyond what they can handle. At least Battlefield (DICE) gave info of the game out almost every day. Come on guys, we need more stuff!

Crytek should start throwing a little "(Add 3-6 months)" at the end of all their promotional videos where it shows the release date.

I would appreciate a little honesty, if anything!

"Honesty" really doesn't come into it. It's about aiming for a release date through scheduling and planning, not having those demands met because no one can foresee the future with issues that occur during development and then having to make the hard decision to delay the release in order to allow more time for production and a higher quality final product.

It's a simple, yet unfortunate case of aiming for a date, realising you're not able to meet a deadline and rescheduling. Otherwise known as a "rain check" :)

It happens to almost every game title and those it doesn't happen to are, more often than not, extremely buggy upon release. For the lulz: http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Valve_Time

If they only gave word of quality assurance, we'd be all right?

I would surely rather wait, and get the better quality and less problems, than be as eager as I was, yes I am dissapointed, but do have other games currently on the go, and other games in the pipe so to speak.

Just as long as I end up with Crysis 2 on my rig in the not too distant future, i wont worry too much, i've not been in anyway dissapointed by what Crytek turn out, and im sure this will continue.

whatever the reason, it will be well worth the added months of waiting, I'm inclined to listen to Shinanigans view on this, and simply wait longer, np, :-]

the original was delayed worse than this (or so it currently is,LOL) and people were subject to so much hype a very long time before that's release. The final release was buggy as hell, so why expect something different this time around. time to turn off from thinking of crysis's now for another HALF YEAR... at least. ffs

Well, isn't it better to avoid the big rush of games so that when people get tired of them crysis 2 comes out and saves the day? :P

Hopefully they fix stuff and make the game better, then it will last longer for us crysis fans :P

I dont actually "get it" here about the fical year of E.A.

For example on this link the fical year and release of games sounds like it doesnt't have to be release during those months and we don't have any official work neighter Crytek or E.A. it selfs.

http://translate.google.com/translate?js=y&prev=_t&hl=nl&ie=UTF-8&layout=1&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nu.nl%2Fgames%2F2306080%2Fneed-for-speed-shift-2-aangekondigd.html&sl=nl&tl=en

This link says of Need for Speed SHift 2:

"Publisher Electronic Arts has a financial report Need for Speed: Shift 2 for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 announced. The document shows that the title is scheduled for the quarter of this
fiscal year, which runs from january to March 2011.

So what does that mean? The actual game release of Crysis 2 can be released eighter in 2010 or 2011-summer?

Do we have a official word ?

shocker. crysis 2 tv episode 2 is over a month late, this site hasnt seen ANY improvement since launch - wasnt it obvious that crytek are in some sort of trouble atm?
as long as they dont sacrifice story elements (like they did with crysis) or incorporate some sort of zombie/mutants (like the ones that ruined far cry) a delay is probably for the best. the real question now is: will we see multiplayer at gamescom, or could MP development be the actual problem?

I hope we never get the news that "Crytek is bankrupt" as we had crisis to a Crysis crisis.

EA wouldn't allow that to happen, till at least they got their game released, wotever state, to make money off their investments.
