Dawnguard and Future DLC Discussion - Thread #19

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 3:23 am

So I think Meridia may be involved in this Dlc.

My reasons being the name Dawnguard and her artifact being Dawnbreaker.
Also this could explain the snow elves returning (she did the same thing with the ayleid.)

So long as MS is willing to pay Bethesda for the 30-60 day exclusive so they can keep working and keep playing games I'm ok with it. The way I see it giving it to X-Box first means they can find and fix the bugs before it goes to PC and PS3.

Don't forget Shivering Isles was promised to be a timed exclusive, but was never released for PS3 as an expansion pack. You could purchase the Oblivion GOTY edition for the PS3 to get that content, but if you already owned Oblivion, then you were forced to wait SEVEN months and then pay another $60 to get that content on the PS3.

I haven't seen any confirmation of a 30 day date. Not sure where that is coming from Dead Money was exclusive for two months.

And either way, it is insulting to treat PC and PS3 consumers as second-class citizens.
Microsoft bought the rights awhile ago, it even says so on UESP (I know its the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages but it's still reliable.). It's actually for both the first and second expansions. Also, if the expansion turns out to be a flop, you'll know and won't have wasted your money on it.

^This, it just happens if MS or Sony has anything first its cuz they paid for it tho mostly MS does this

I know that but I meant it cuz you have the TOOLS from Beth to do this while other players do not, if it wasn't for MS making a deal with Beth I am sure if they wanted to they would still release it on PS3 or 360 first just because PC players having more to do in the game than console owners do, be happy you have tools to make mods that PS3 or 360 owners may well never see and don't complain about a silly 30 day exclusive!

There was mods out before the CK was released get it right!! and i'll complain about whatever i like!, i pay the same money you do and this is all about control and making money, nothing to do with being able to do more in the game!

Technically, Dovahkiin is Talos, just as all the others were before him. Tiber Septim was just the "first" Talos.

If I'm not mistaken, the Greybeards name the Dovakiin Ysmir when he arrives at the High Hrothgar.

Indeed, we have already started walking in the footsteps of a God. Now we are likely to finish it in Dawnguard

What the heck? All we get is a name and a picture of the Dovahkiin? Not even a vauge single sentence describing what the DLC is going to be about? Are they trying to be like Rockstar where they reveal only a little bit, to let it hype itself up? I think they revealed a little too little.

Just my two cents, I don't care one way or the other.

O_O ummm angry much? Sorry I know you don't agree here but I am just giving you the facts and part of my opionion ok? MS paid Beth off to have their content on 360 first, either you can wait like everyone else or do the stupid thing and buy a whole new 360 and the game just to play the DLC first, it is just a game dude, its really not that important except to give us entertainment and to let us escape...

I'm glad Xbox gets it first. I want to get a good look at this thing before I give this out of touch corporation any more of my money. I have a sinking feeling though that we won't be getting anymore patches between now and whenever this over-priced, over-hyped monstrosity is released.

Over-reacted...

Yeah, I agree. A vague paragraph or sentence is more than enough.

These threads are certainly moving fast. Since it shared the same name as leaked content from a while back, I'm going with hammerfell (at least I think that what it said).

I don't care as long as it is a new area and it's all new. Can't keep on playing the same area over and over.

I cannot lie, I am somewhat disappointed. I had hoped for some information that we already did know.

Also is that the symbol of Markarth on his chest?
