Dawnguard and Future DLC Discussion - Thread #19

To what? I'm totally underwhelmed by the entire DLC discussion.

Then why are you still here? :unsure2:

My opinion? The Dovahkin is gonna start mantling Lorkhan, and will merge to become one with Talos, surpassing the might of Chim, and even Amaranth!
Remember, if you achieve Amaranth, Mundus will just be a fast disappearing dot in your rear view mirror.

This timed exclusive stuff, what if MS didn't pay. What if the deal was timed exclusive, find a way to get Kinect in there, get first look at the nextbox hardware?

I'm betting on some sort of Werewolf vs. Vampire war.
Dear god, just the thought makes me impatient for Fallout 4.

Don't forget Shivering Isles was promised to be a timed exclusive, but was never released for PS3 as an expansion pack. You could purchase the Oblivion GOTY edition for the PS3 to get that content, but if you already owned Oblivion, then you were forced to wait SEVEN months and then pay another $60 to get that content on the PS3.

What are you talking about? Shivering Isles was placed on the PSN for download, and they even had a hard disk copy for the PS3. Here it is:

http://www.amazon.com/The-Elder-Scrolls-Shivering-Playstation-3/dp/B000YTJR74/ref=sr_1_3?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1335904547&sr=1-3

What's with Dragonborn's eyes? Does this mean he is acheiving Chim? Or mantling a god?

Kind of funny that this PR Dovahkiin has a Visible quiver of arrows (Or Bolts?), first time ever, maybe those "Crossbow" tags hidden in the new patch weren't just for the lulz.

Horse armor that makes your eyes glow when mounted! Cool.

Secondary feature: Adds guards to Dawnstar.

I don't think it was ever released separately here in Europe.

Sapper i read this in an IN GAME book. And so the legends began. Of small, blind, goblin-like creatures who would rise from the cracks of the earth, in the dead of night, to slaughter cattle, attack lonely travelers, and steal sleeping babes from their cribs.

In recent years, however, the sightings of these creatures have become more and more frequent. Their raids, more organized. Their attacks, more brutal. In fact, one might even come to the conclusion that the Falmer are ready to change once again. Could it be true? Are the snow elves of ages past ready to reclaim their long-forgotten glory? Are they ready to surge to the surface, and make war upon the "light dwellers"?

If that happens - if the Falmer are indeed planning on reconquering Skyrim - I fear a horror neither man nor gods could possibly stand against.

I can't say I care if xbox get their 30 days exclusive, I wouldn't have bought it immediately on release anyway.
Hope its decent-sized and has no dragon riding or vampire vs. werewolf conflict

I may be wrong, but I'm sure I've seen that here in Britain...

If he does mantle a God it might just be Talos. Hopefully this DLC will be an epic story.

I hope we don't get anything like that. And we already have that in original Skyrim.
Spoiler
Silver Hands and Companions. The circle among Companions are werewolves and It's hinted that most of their enemies(Silver Hands) are vampires. They lurk people on wilderness, they have bodies of dead commoners on their tables in their forts and bloody bones everywhere (vampire lairs have both of them too) and 80% of Silver Hands have vampire dust in their inventory.

Okay seriously, after all the ype and the build up all we get is a name and a picture? This is one of the worst cases of over hyping I have ever seen. Bethesda come on, surely you can give us some kind of details! BTW was this not supposed to be announced in April? Based on that kind of timing your mention that this will be out in the "summer" for the Xbox means it will hit the XBox the first day of fall right? Seriouisly Bethesda I am very disappointed, this is some the lamest use of over hype I have ever seen, truly pathetic...

Maybe he absorbs Peryites soul and becomes a Daedric Prince?

"light dwellers"

You say? Light/Dawn. not to mention there is that one cart on the side of the road with two dead people killed by Falmer arrows.
I hope we don't get anything like that. And we already have that in original Skyrim.

Go here and kill these guy's isn't exactly the same thing. the Silverhand barely have a background story.
