Todd Howard said the dlc was about "evil" vampires in an interview and they wanted to add a "good" vampire slayer faction, dawnguard

Vampires are an abomination in the eyes of the Nine and should be put down like the monsters they are.

In character ranting aside I would like there to be vampires who aren't uniformly mustache twirling villains.

I view vampires as souls that are imprisoned in a corrupt body so I as a vampiree hunter free them from this tyrany by guiding them towards the light so they may be free once more . But if they wish to turn every soul into one of them I will starve them and as the ache for nutrients I shall DRAG them into the light and watch them shrivel like the worms they are.

I have two different characters for Dawnguard, one is good and one is evil.
My evil character is a Bosmer who is a vampire. My good character is a Redguard and a werewolf. I did this so I get to try both questlines, and experience the skill trees also.

Upon learning more about the mechanics of vampire lords, I can safely say it's the Dawnguard all the way for me. I don't do 3rd person, so I'd never be able to vamp out or develop my vamp perk tree.

Course, I'm sure I would have favored the Dawnguard anyhow. I tend to play good guys. Never could even bring myself to blow up Megaton in Fallout 3 so blotting out the sun probably wouldn't fly, either.

It is unwise to underestimate your enemy, dark one. The wonders of the Nine are many. Indeed, the spirit of Shezarr flows through every single hero that has ever existed, no matter their alignment/allegiance. It was the Gods themselves who brought about existence in the first place!

Meridia and Azura perhaps...I think everyone agrees that Sheogorath is amiable.

But the Daedra only care about themselves. The Nine, however, care about us. They are worthy of worship

The fact that they are trying to stop the sun from being blotted out, thus allowing vampires to reign free. It's not like they are picking a fight with civillians either. These vampires feed on human beings, possibly turning them and removing them from Arkay's cycle.

There's plenty to support that the Dawnguard are doing the right thing.

I'll be blocking out the sun and I will use dawnguard members skulls as cups and also I'll do it to spread molag bal's gift to the cattle.

"Right" "Wrong" "Good" and "Evil" are all subjective terms. You decide what is "good" and "evil" based upon your own Internal Value System and Myers bryggs Judging or Thinking scores. Theres no such thing as good or evil, but I digress.

I'll be the Good guy like I alwaysdo in games and incorporate my morals into my Char and Help the VL.

I thought in become a Vampire lord but, crossbows :biggrin:

from what i'v seen, you technically start of as a dawnguard and at some point you can choose to stay or join the vamps, so you could be a vampire lord and still have a crossbow.
