DawnGuard Dlc : Will you choose to be Good Or Evil

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 1:28 pm

Evil people never think of themselves as evil. Always an excuse, uh, I mean, justification. As for my characters, it really depends on the character I'm rp'ing.

My current character is the most evil psychopath you could conjure up, he's also always been a vampire, so he knows which path he will take.

I'll probably make a 'good guy' companion character later on, to do the dawnguard questline and try out the new werewolf perks.
Same here level 45 Vampire since the beginning so hes just made to be a Vamp Lord :)

They have not shown which side is evil or good. For all you know, the vampires are the good guys, they just want to stop the sun from limiting them, and this...

I hate these easy choices. I don't want to be good or evil. Plus if I did make an evil character why isn't there an option to help the vamps as a follower but not actually be one.

I never play evil and I'm hoping, hoping, hoping that the Dawnguard will be good and noble and not all good on first appearance but rotten in the core. Some fantasy in my fantasy games would be a great thing. There's enough dirty reality in real life. :tes:

I will be an evil vampire hunter. I don't care if you tragically became a vampire and still feed to maintain your family and take care of your children, you're still getting a stake pummeled through your chest.

Well said :D . I'll probably go vampire though. I don't care if you are trying to kill us to protect youre family, You're stil tasty.

How do we know that the vampires are your stereotypical "bad guys" and the Dawnguard are your stereotypical "good guys". In plenty of games that Bethesda either produces or publishes, the sides of good or evil are not black and white. For example, the Empire/Legion and the Stormcloaks both have different ideals. The Stormcloaks are, without a doubt, extremely racist but striving for independence isn't necessarily an evil thing. On the other hand, the Legion hardly encourage equality by banning the worship of Talos either. So, I suspect that even the Dawnguard will have a sinister side to them in a way.

I'm playing as my Dragonborn Dunmer Assassin Alchemist. He loves his family (the Dark Brotherhood) and considers himself just and fair. So most likely going with Serana's mother. He'll probably see the Dawnguard as genocidal and a threat to his Dark Sister (Babette).

Evil is a purely subjective thing, though. From his point of view, the vampires are evil. But the vampire's plan is not to rule the world, but to stop a vampire eradication that was written in Prophecy called "The Tyranny of the Sun".

All I'm saying is every story gots to have a good vs bad or "good vs Evil" and the way they did the dawnguard story is for one of the factions to be good or evil no matter which one it is

I wonder if you side with Harkon's daughter and wife that that will be the "good" side for vampires and if you side with Harkon it will be the "evil" side of the quest line.

http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lh9bj8Zty71qavolh.jpg :D.

Maybe I did play Dawnguard, or maybe I actually watched and read the interview that confirms the vampires want to block the sun because of this prophecy. Why do you think Harkon said "The Tyranny of the sun shall end"? Or why do you think Matt Carafano kept saying the same thing that Harkon wants to stop the end?

http://downloadxboxgames.com/2012/06/08/e3-2012-the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-dawnguard-preview/

"Dawnguard with a new proposal is made ??to you in the beautiful world of Skyrim: join the Guards of the Dawn, of traditional vampire hunters, or, conversely, become a vampire, but not a puny little vampire, or rather a Lord vampire. And all of this prophecy of the possible annihilation of vampires, the famous Tyranny of the Sun.

Serana, it comes to play, is a very important part of the puzzle to find an Elder Scroll - the main quest - and to thwart the Tyranny of Sun prophecy that will wipe the vampires out.
