What annoyed me the most with this was when New Vegas was being developed they said no exclusive content but the day before it came out they annouced the xbox was getting the dlc first
i can go out there and buy a xbox360 just because of this but everytime i think this i think about this aswell that it would be just supporting them and i would never support microsoft because of doing this dumb ...

Yes, I remember that too well for my taste.. The thing is, I'm never going to buy an XBox for the simple fact that I grew up with PlayStation.. It's a annoying having to wait 30 days, but.. well.. we have to svck it..

I can't stand the contoller and i'm not going to pay for the online services. So i'll stay with sony

Directly from Pete Hines via twitter.

To those asking, Dawnguard comes to 360 first. We have not announced for any other platforms, nor given any timetable.

again if what he said was true that it will be exclusive for 360 for about 30 days then it will be out in about 30 days, something can't still be exclusive if it's out for another platform

From Pete Hines' twitter page:

To those asking, Dawnguard comes to 360 first. We have not announced for any other platforms, nor given any timetable.

In other words, we don't know when it's going to release, and Bethesda is being rather worryingly tight-lipped about it. The "we have not announced for any other platforms" bit is particularly worrying.

You're mistaking the "30 day exclusivity deal" with "30 day exclusivity." The deal ends around the 26th, allowing Bethesda to release the DLC for other platforms, but Bethesda can release whenever the hell they want. They can wait for two or three months if they like. Hell, if they really wanted they could make it only available through GOTY.

I really just want to know what their plans are for this, it's one thing to have an exclusive and it's another to wait without knowing when it's going to come out.

If they wanted to give Samus a voice and show how everything effects her she should have had a mental breakdown ala Rambo at the end of first blood not what team ninja did

i't usually go wrong when a third party company decides to do they take on a serie, just look at Castlevania, that's like taking the elder scrolls, making it a racing game and say "this is how the serie will be from now on"

if it's exclusive for 30 days, that means it's only on xbox for 30 days, how would it still be exclusive for 130 days if it's only exclusive for 30 days? Think about your logic.

He means just cause the exclusivity runs out in 30 days after release, doesn't mean bethesda will give it to sony right away after that 30 days, think about THE logic.

its all about convincing people that their console is the best choice, and if they continue doing this, well, it will be the best choice

Its funny; they could've payed for the entirety of Skyrim to be an xbox exclusive and that still wouldn't have convinced me to buy a *shudder* console for playing videogames. :meh:

Err...the one you posted is for the Xbox date. I'm guessing you misread June as July?

The only rumors I've heard is that IGN has the release as a vague Q3 2012(which is pretty realistic, I doubt we'll be waiting into Q4), and IGN's mobile site has it as September 30th(a Sunday, and the last day of Q3, so I wouldn't put much weight in that specific date).

Anyway, I'd personally brace for a late August, early September release. The only other 360 exclusive was Dead Money for New Vegas, which came out almost exactly two months after the initial release, and anything much more than two months seems rather excessive.

Look, I know this will sound blunt, and im nit saying it's right or fair or acceptable, but the cold hard truth of it is Beth will let it be known in their own cool time. They probably aren't 100% sure themselves, therefore they risk anything they say being wrong. Which would you rather; waiting to find out a concrete date, or be told a date and then closer to that date have them go "er, ah, actually, we told you wrong" after getting all hyped up for it?

Bethesda can release it when they like. They aren't forced to release it after 30 days.
