It does look awesome.

I particularly like the target's "bad guy soliloquy" ;)

well, it does look nice but .... C G I is sooooo lame. I want to know about the GAME, not what you thought it would look like as a movie trailer.
I am anxiously awaiting news and info from the game, this would have been OK as a pre-release teaser after everything else had been said already.
You know, the usual: see a mini-level playthrough in different ways: all stealth, all combat, powers only, no powers, variations of those.
Get the "basic" gameplay out, no need to show off some "uber"-moves you get access later in the game.
anyways, good work but not what I hoped it would be.

The main guy's name in the game is Corvo... In Italian corvo means raven. It makes sense.

Very. Excited. It's a different sort of game for me, but I'm definitely intrigued.

And Corvo looks nothing like my dovakhiin. ;-)

Guys, let's please keep this discussion on the trailer and not the teaser picture.

You need to jump on GOG and purchase yourself some Thief! :D

Badly hyped marketing, but great nonetheless. Using a Thalmor lookalike and the Promokiin lookalike for the tteaser was bad publicity.

Just showing the mark would have been a batter tease.
I can kind of see why they did it, though. If they put out something that looks like it could even possibly be related to Skyrim, the gaming media is damn near obligated to report on it, and once they'd reported on the teaser image they couldn't exactly just drop it when it turned out to be for something else. There hadn't been that much media interest in the game as yet, and this was a good way to get the name out there, regardless of any toes they might have stepped on in doing so.

Anyway, very nice trailer, not much we hadn't already heard about/seen in other stuff, but it's still nice to see some of those things illustrated so beautifully.

Well from what's been discussed so far, this looks to be far more in the vein of Deus Ex than AC.

Really great looking ! I love CGI trailer but I don't really understand why they didn't release it when they announced the game.

If some of you want to download a good quality version of it http://www.gamersyde.com/news_dishonored_debut_trailer-12738_en.html.

I remember playing a Thief demo back in the day. and it wasn't quite for me, but I'm more comfortable with actiony combat now, so I'm hopeful.

Reminds me of Thief and Assassin's Creed. Arkane Studios made great games, Arx Fatalis and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.

Yes, the trailer looks really great in my opinion, I had no expectations what so ever (I haven't really been paying attention to this, and I don't think a lot of tuff has been released either), well arkane studios have never disapointed me, and after looking at the trailer I am sure they wil du an excellent job.

I'm not gonna try to anolyze it as I've never been good at that stuff or I always take it to far, but jumping around on roof-tops and cutting people are some of the things I enjoy in games, so after watching the trailer this looks rather promising.

Can't wait for more news about this, as of right now I'll say that I'm gonna buy it as soon as I can, but we'll see, it all depends on wether the gameplay lives up to the excitement I got from watching the trailer.

So we take our criticism to the "other" thread and now its locked again... thanks.

Sorry a blog entry didn't meet your personal expectations. This is a thread about the Dishonored trailer and game. If you virtually pouted already on the blog, that should be sufficient, ok? Please don't derail this thread. Thanks.

I'm just pointing out a simple fact, that one moderator told us to go back to the other thread, then we try to continue that discussion it was locked and another moderator told us to go back here. I'm not pouting, but perhaps you guys could be a little more coherent... no derailing was meant. Sorry.

Also thanks for telling me I'm "pouting"... real professional of a moderator.

Yeah, I have been looking forward to this game - new IP for one thing, always interesting. I like steam-punk. Has sort of a Bioshock feel to it to me, not so much in art style... dunno, some sort of vibe for me - maybe dystopian is the feeling I am stumbling around for. But a cool supernatural stealth game? Yeah, I'm in!
