Did anyone catch what Florentius said?

Because I didnt see them dive into the ice. I kept my eye on the landscape for the faded saber cats.

While I agree with the other problems he pointed out, I have to agree that the diving dragon was pretty hard to miss....

I'm not gonna lie, I was dissapointed about the lack of upgradable castles too, but thats all this kid talks about. He hasnt played the dlc to its fullest, so he assumes things that are wrong, like when he said he spoke to the snow elf prince yesterday. He'd know that there was no snow elf prince if he actually got that far. He's just making stuff up as he goes.

I think it's cute. Like a cat walking across your keyboard, sure it's irritating, but you can't stay mad at the little guy.

You're really grasping for straws if you're trying to argue that you can upgrade the two Castles in Dawnguard.
I gotta agree with you here. Those "upgrades" were pathetic. I remember on threads just before the dlc released, everyone thought they'd be like the morrowind strongholds haha. Based on interviews with Todd Howard, it was sort of misleadinf. Anyway we're getting off topic here. If you guys want to keep discussing this we should probably do so on another thread

I'm gonna go hunting and see if there are any hidden goodies. I hope my search isn't in vain and it's just cut content that he's mentioning.

Just because you haven't found something, doesn't mean it got cut. We won't know until it comes out on PC.
A valid point. I was sort of surprised at how empty the forts seem so far. By empty I mean devoid of easter eggs and secrets. I remember battlehorn castle had all sorts of hidden nooks and crannies scattered everywhere. Hidden doors, hidden floors, false walls etc. Has anyone seen anything like this in castle Volkihar? I haven't really explored Fort Dawnguard yet.

Poops and giggles my friend. And a couple of new books. I thought it might be quest related so I stayed out of it until the mq was done. Didn't want to screw anything up, but no it serves no significant purpose as far as I can tell.

The ice diving dragons ARE in the game...there's actually two of them. You find them in the Forgotten Vale.

You CAN upgrade the forts, it's just not what any of us expected. You can repair the walkway to the Courtyard in Castle Volkihar and Forges, Enchanting Tables, and Alchemy Tables get added to Fort Dawnguard. As I said, nothing like what was alluded to, but it still technically qualifies as an upgrade.

And the only NPC's in Castle Volkihar that don't seem to recognize you as the leader are Ornjalf (or whatever his name is) and the NPC's that just talk about their always being a feast yadda yadda.
The other NPC's openly comment on the fact that noone will forget you were the one to kill Harkon, you're the superior Vampire, you are the Lord of the Castle, etc.

So what were you saying about cut content?

They said to me "your power is unquestionable" or something like that to me

He mentions off hand that there are caches of items that have the Dawnguard Sigil on them and open if you cast Sun Fire on them.
Can anyone confirm this, or say where they found any?

If it is any help I have come across a Dawnguard messenger (forgot her name) and she had a note listing where caches were located as well as a key. She was supposed to make sure they were stocked. Have not found the caches yet just randomly found her on the road.

Same, which is why no one should be listening to Sage. He's not exploring the DLC to the fullest, and then blaming his lack of knowledge on the topic on cut content. It's quite possible that these caches exist.

The guys name was Dawnguard Recruit Hakar right?

Im guessing the npc and note an the key is in the game, But the caches got cut.

Why would they keep the note and key but not the catches? That is stupid.

I remember the name being something starting with an S. A single name like Selene. She was dress in heavy Dawnguard Armor and when I found her she was off her horse fighting spiders. It could be multiple people that carry the letters.

I believe I've figured it out. To discover the cache locations it requires the sacrifice of a forum member to Arkay, the anti-trolling god.
