I don't think that you have 1C/Cenega version of game. Is Dead Money available on Steam store for you?

Steam support can't help me with activating Dead Money on F: NV 1C/Cenega edition. The only option is to buy "normal" version from (for example) D2D UK. I did that and it WORKS without problems at all. I suggest avoiding 1C/Cenega if you don't care about your home translation. DON'T LET THEM FOOL YOU AGAIN!

"Well. Steam support never answered me. A little investigation of my own has shown that Steam recognizes 1C\Cenega edition and Retail as two different games so i jut bought another copy of FNV from D2D and WAS ABLE to activate it on the same account that I've already activated Fallout form 1C as well as i was able to activate Dead Money then. Funny thing is that retail version has Ru, Cz, Pl as well as the other languages =) So now i'm happy owner of retail version of FNV so i will not need to wait for patches anymore and will be able to activate future DLCs but i guess i will have to buy them from D2D as well (which not really a bad thing i guess). It's not a cheap solution but hell i can finally say "Good riddance" to 1C and their bull???? that's for sure."

Thank you bethesda, give my money back....

So we were cheated by 1C into buying inferior product *again*. Guah...

Just to clarify: FNV bought directly via Steam will work? Or we need to buy it on sites like D2D.uk?

Patience. Of course they'll release it first for the U.S, Americans buy more video games than possibly every other country combined. Poland will get DLCs soon, as will Japan, China, Russia, Iraq, etc.

Sure they will, I'm just not sure about that "soon" thing. Hope it will take shorter than F3 releases..
I mean, 6 months for DLC release in Poland, 1 year for F3GotY in Russia. It can't get worse, can it?

I repeat my statement that Bethesda releases most of it's games and DLC's in the places where they are sold most, first. Europe and the US bring in more income for gaming than the rest of the world combined.

100% true. 1C/Cenega doesn't care about their customers. I've recieved e-mail from Cenega polish support. They informed me Dead Money will be available in Poland too, but they don't know when (or don't want to tell). Whatever, I'm done with them... better buy from D2D or don't buy at all.

Well, the problem isn't on Bethesda's part. They don't have a huge choice becouse there is ONLY ONE publisher in Russia - 1C who has his branches in other countries as well. And it's all messed up on their side. They don't care about delivering DLCs on time not Bethesda.

But yeah Bethesda should slap 1C hard even though they don't get big income from Eastern Europe.

As you can see people are buying 2 copies of F:NV to play DM legally. That's ridiculous.

/me scratch my head
I still don't see a conection. First, publisher in Eastern Europe is not Bethesta but 1C. Second, even if they would be publisher, why halt release of already finished product in other places?
Making DLC avaliable in English (most players will dl English ver. anyway) via Steam would not increase costs a bit (as DLC is finished, only translations for national languages aren't, which are local publisher job),and would surely increase income. I just don't see much sense in disabling ready DLC for anyone willing to pay for it.

Delaying release makes sense only in specific situations: 1. When game is to be sold in a box, which means translation is mandatory. 2. When due to local market circumstances price has to be lowered by a significant amount. This is simply to avoid shipping games from Russia/Slovakia/Poland where game is cheaper, to countries where gamers are charged a full price for same product. 3. When product is unfinished, and particular country works as "testing ground", and game, after patching, is released in other countries (not uncommon in Russia)
None of this is the matter here.

@boota Bethesda still has to support the game. I'm no Russian, but it seems like 1C can't come to an agreement with Bethesda/ZeniMax.

One friend from Russia bought Fallout New Vegas via Steam for 49.99$ and he has region restricted version as retail (15$)
Steam is also involved in this trouble as distributor

LOL I did the same thing and even pre-ordered the game. It wasn't a very smart decision, as it seems now.

If you enter F:NV page on Steam store you'll get warning (in orange frame) what languages are available in your region. If it says eng-rus-pl-cz you are 99% sure you'll get 1C edition via Steam. It's safer to buy from other source which doesn't recognize your home location based on your IP adress.

Makes me sad seeing you have these problems. Scandinavia gets them quickly, about same time as US gets them. Can't understand why you can't get it quickly to.

I don't understand it. I'm playing the English version of the game via Steam. I want to play the English version of the addon. Why am I not allowed to buy it?

It just boggles my mind, a company which does not want profit?
