DLC Problems in Poland

Post » Wed Dec 08, 2010 9:26 am

I would like to share my general feeleing regarding Bethesda. Since many years i dont see any support from you as a publisher. Once again i bought original game (FNV) and i cannot buy DLC on PC as in my region is not available and noone knows when it will be available.

Same situation was with Fallout 3. Addons was available 6 months after worldwide release day. Pitty.

For F3 on consoles (localised versions in Poland) we didnt get even vis PSN/Live localised addons at all.

You should be shame that you treat legal costumers like this. Skyrim is comming and what i see there is no chance that Poles will be treated same as rest of the world. There is only pirated version left to play full game (with addons) and what i see on other forums in PL houndreds of people will do same as they are sharing my thoughts

There is no problem with release day of your product there but with problem is with support after RD so im assuming that its not local distributor fault.

Biggest games vortals in Poland are writing about this situation which generates more black PR for you.

you convince more and more people to pirate your games than to buy legal

strange

very DISAPPOINTED costumer

New Vegas’ first game add-on, Dead Money, is now available on Steam in North America and Europe. The content is also available on the US PlayStation Store, and on Wednesday it will be available in Europe and other PAL territories. The content is available on both platforms for $9.99.

Something tell me- Poland, Russia and other east-European countries are not European countries in the eyes of gamesas.
I hope I'm mistaken.

I'm from Poland as a poster above and wanted to add there are so many Fallout fans in regions of 1C/Cenega (Eastern Europe) editions of the game where DLC isn't available.
Really after release of DLCs to Fallout 3 situasion hasn't changed at all. We are still left without any attension from your side and we can't understand why we cannot get access to these DLCs on the premiere day as rest of the world (any other places where F:NV is officially available which can't buy DLC?).
That only punish owners of original version of the game since the rest will get it from well known other sources.
What are the reasons behind these region locks? From my perspective this situation is not ACCEPTABLE!

I also heard from someone from Latvia that he can't buy his DLC on Steam...
I wrote an e-mail to polish Cenega custumer support with question of DLC avaliability. Of course i don't expect "a lot" (if any) usefull infromations.
The biggest pain for me is that this issue lasts for 3 years or so and there aren't any indicators that's going to change in the near future.
I quess any official statement would be highly appreciated.

Even more ridiculous- I don't need localized version. I play the game on English, and want DLC/patch on English. But I can't have even this. Germans don't have it too.
What prevent our dear publisher from telling us about correct date, when it will be accessible? Is it such big secret? I can wait, just tell me how long I must wait. But no.

If I get any information to share, we'll let you know. As many of you already know, we're not the publisher of the game in Poland and Russia.

If I'm not mistaken though, you can purchase the game (in English) via Steam in these countries.

Would you please check it for Hungary too? By the way I really doubt that it would be aviable via steam (or at least it is not aviable in Hungary).

I can ask, but I need to know the platform. It's better to keep these thread in the platform specific support boards.

Please do not discuss using torrents -- that'll get your forum account banned.

Seeing what I can find out for Poland and Russia (and Hungary, too) for the English version made available via Steam. If you have the localized Cenega versions, I'll reiterate that we're not the publisher for these versions. If I hear any info, I'll share it.

Can't. Have redirection on other world page to localized page. Cheating with proxies and fake Steam accounts can do the job, but it's stupid. Really.

I have fallout new vegas enplczru, pre- purchased on Steam. Use Eng. language settings, play on English.
I can see DLC in the news, but when I click it- I redirected to Fallout New Vegas page, instead of Dead Money DLC page.
Search in the store also give nothing.
Thanks in advance.

i just dont get it. you really dont want to sell your products? tell me just why you dont want to sell you products to your clients.

Please add Estonia to the list! New Vegas fans outside Russia, Czech Republic and Poland can't buy the DLC too on Steam. And I don't have the 1C/Cenega version, DVD box came from UK.

I've checked with folks and as you guys already know, the content is not available on Steam in the territories mentioned (Hungary, Poland, Russia, Estonia). It's also not available in India.

If/when that ever changes, I'll provide more information.

but its your product, you sold it to local publisher/distibutor so you should support it after all to make your costumer happy because they are buying your product not local distributor/publisher product.
Difference beetwen good and bad publisher/developer is that after releasing game you should support your product (even if sometimes is not profitable so much)
i never had such situation with Deep Silver or other small publisher.you should learn from all others how it should be done or you shouldn't produce games at all.

You should chose better publisher or make better deal with them next time. Here in Poland we are forced to use Steam like everyone else, are paying full price for a game like everyone else yet we don't have access to DLC and patches are coming late if at all. No wonder piracy is so common here :(

Anticipating common Cenega originated problems I've bought version from uk and got same problems, no DLC. Men, full price but crippled merchandise, it's like living in fourth world country.

Also not available in Czech Republic as far as I know. I've found a link on Fallout wiki to Czech Cenega website (http://www.cenega.cz/seznam.php?search=fallout) and there is a date 29.03.2010. On the other hand there is EXACTLY nothing about Dead Money on polish version of their site. I said earlier i wrote an e-mail to polish cenega custumer support and got auto-repply mail that my issue should be answered within 5 days.... ehh seriously can't you find better company out here for distribution of your titles?

Gstaff - I appreciate your attention to this topic but can you use "your powers" to find out why WE are left behind, why Cenega has never cared about any DLCs and if in this date I mentioned Dead Money has any chances to be realised ? (becouse I dont think I will get answer to my e-mail).

I have the English version imported from the UK, and Dead Money is not available for it here in Poland. I understand that you're not responsible for the Cenega version, but could you at least make it available in Eastern and Central Europe via Steam to those who have purchased the Bethesda edition?
