Dogmeat? : Fallout: New Vegas

Does anyone know if dogmeat will be in New Vegas?

He was in all the other Fallout games so I expect he should be in this one as well.

Mine too, mine died quite a few times but I just kept reloading old saves.
Then he died during the final battle helping me fight super mutants, so I took that as his real death and went on to finish the game. Alone.

The dogmeat in NV could be the same dog as the one in FO3, dogmeat in 1 and 2 were the same dog. I wouldn't mind if it was another dog though, As long as it was called dogmeat.

Before I left to finish the final mission I left him at my house waiting I roleplayed that robobutler took care of him till I got back.... After I got back I took him for a walk

Not really, he died in fallout 1, the one in fallout 2 was an easter egg and the one in fallout 3 was out of place.
So if he is I'm going to fix the lore by killing him. :goodjob:

Dogmeat took a burst of gun fire right in the face from a Super Mutant Brute's Minigun, he died a heroic death fighting alongside me in glorious combat. :tops:

Technically, he wasn't. Appearance in F2 isn't canon, F3 only had Dogmeat XXIII. or similar. Though I would agree that a canine companion would be mighty fine, and it seems we might get a cybernetic one even.

Dogmeat died in the first Fallout.

But a similar dog named Dogmeat? Why not?

But they have not announced for sure yet. We honestly don't know.

I couldn't imagine there not being at least a reference or two to Dogmeat though.
