Indeed, RDR is awesome, but not when used as a basis to a different game. Then it's just trolling.

Just wait for someone to make a mod that replaces all horses in the game with Shelby Mustang GT 500's.

There are horses in Skyrim? Shouldn't this be in the spoiler forum?

The horses in Skyrim are Shire horses. Biggest horse breed in the world, built for Skyrim's geography and weather. RDR is just a normal mid-size horse breed.

I don't know, could be a Clydesdale, not that it matters much. I like the horses in Skyrim.

As long as the horses can properly trot and canter in Skyrim, I'll be happy. All we could do in Oblivion was 2 speeds: walk or gallop.

I don't care what they look like, I just want them to be easier to control than in Oblivion. I quit using them in Oblivion, got tired of getting stuck on some rock or tree all the time.

I Agree, the horses in Skyrim look really buffed, ripped or otherwise unusual. Red Dead horses look better

I'm not going to argue with anyone. I'm just glad we can have horses in the game.

I don't get whats with all the harsh criticism of the person who started this.... just because he said RDR horses look better, everyone leaps on the guy? That pretty unfair: RDR had some of the best looking horse animations around, so I see it as pretty obvious that you'd want Skyrim to have those animations as well. However, RDR basically revolved around you and your horse, so I think its not as huge a deal in skyrim. Plus, has anyone ever seen what a truly large horse looks like in person? The kind that would live in a harsh winter? Trust me... they are huge

Ah that makes more sense, I figured they were bigger horses but wasn't sure. I still wouldn't mind some Oblivion looking horses for TES6 though.

For the last time, Skyrim horses aren't fat, they're short and muscular.
When you look at them from the side, you'll see that they'd put any bodybuilder to shame.
That's what it takes to run long distances while carrying a person on their back.
Also, don't forget that real horses weigh about 500kg, that's gotta go somewhere. :unsure2:

I don't think they are Shire horses, there might possibly be some in game but shire horses arn't typically used for riding more for pulling things and I think you'd have a hard time getting a shire horse to move as fast as the do in Skyrim. plus Shire's are massive.

I'd say they are more like Cob's and Clydesdale's, whereas RDR had something more like quarter horses and thourughbreds (sp?)

It makes sens that they are more stiff after all Cob's and Clydesdales are the right type of horses for the Skyrim enviroment, hardy and strong

We own horses so I know a bit about breeds and stuff but I just think Shire horses would be too big and cumbersome to be a mount in Skyrim

Clydesdale horse is best horse.

Instead of the race horses/thoroughbreds that were in Oblivion, they went with draft horses in Skyrim. It makes a LOT more sense, as draft horses are supposed to be a lot more resistant to the cold, and can tackle tougher terrain.

I'm mostly ticked off about the forced third-person viewpoint while horseback riding.
