Dovahkiin vs. Courier 6 - Opinions?

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 7:40 pm

What? Courier can barely survive an attack from a flamethrower nevermind Dragons Breath(Which is bigger, stronger, and has WAY more range than a Flamethrower).

I'm not sure about our Courier then but considering as soon as the dragon lands he could easily lob a mini nuke at it.

Not with VATS he cant. As buggy as THAT is.
If it's moving VATS will do nothing.

And kill himself in the process.

It would likely land right next to you, which stuns you for a second.

Also if Courier gets his limbs blown off by a single mine, what chance does he have against a simple fireball spell?

I doubt he'll be able to use his doctors bag in the middle of (actual) battle.

This and even then why would you try to VATs a large flying target? Just wait for it to land or float as the breath has a certain range anyhow.

It'll do something. Make courier miss every shot for one, or make him freeze in place while alduin sends his soul to sovngard to be butt pounded later.

Let alone spells like incinerate or the other high level destruction spells.

And I'm guessing no one's brought Illusion into this could then ther would be no contest?

The Courier is a regular old human being, and even if they have some cybernetic implants from OWB and the NV Medical Clinic, they're still pretty much just a human. Even though I vastly prefer everything about the Courier (including his/her regular humanity), I would have to admit that a powerful Dovahkiin would probably win.

Yeah but not all the time and you could always keep a distance from the dragon too or just circle strafe the hell out of it while shooting it with a LMG + AP Rounds.

All it takes is one burst of mouth flame from the Dragon, and the Courier is cooked. Dragons don't usually land right away.

Yeah. Illusion magic pretty much makes this impossible for the Courier.

Dragonborn casts Calm. Courier stands there like an idiot, while Dragonborn casually walks up, and cuts his face off.

Not to mention invisibility.

Invisibility whenever u want it as a spell, or a limited supply of stealth boys. hmmmmmmm. Illusion wins.

Dovahkin hand's down. The Technology vs Magic arguement is invalid when;

He can slow time.
He can become intangible; which, lets face it; end game. Become Ethereal, avoid his bag attack, rush him, kill him.
He can breathe fire.
He can freeze opponents solid.
He can summon a dragon.
He can bring on storms.
He can throw people for yards with his voice.
He can shout and move forward several yards in a second.
He can use various different spells that harden his skin, deflect damage, etc.

vs

A dude with VATS and whatever gun he has.

Really? Reeeeeeallly?

Also reading this is like the forum warfare equivalent of two retards playing happy slaps. No offense to anyone but threads like these are just stupid IMO. Now can we get back to discussing whether vampires or werewolves are better? (jk)

Yeah but even when flying they don't use that fire breath a lot and when they hover it only goes so far. Not to mention the one thing the Courier has over Dovah is the ability to do a true circle strafe without having to be close to a target. A dragon if it lands it pretty much screwed especially if you see it about to land it would be easy to back off from the range and lob a in nuke at it.

Even stealth boys wouldn't help. Detect life spell remember?

And to make things more fun. Dragonborn casts Undead Thrall on a random dead Deathclaw.

The Deathclaw is now a zombie, and even stronger/tougher.

The dragon wouldn't land before it attacked the Courier. Seriously all it takes is one hit, and the Courier is dead.

1. Dragon breaths fire. Courier is dead.

2. Dragon bites him. Courier is dead.

3. Courier runs out of ammo from his constant VATS misses(Vats means [censored] against a flying fast moving enemy). Courier is dead.

No contest.

But... that's like comparing the Dovahkiin to the Courier! :o
I feel as though this thread has become much less lighthearted than I had intended. lol

Surely if the courier fired a mini nuke, the Dovahkiin could just use unrelenting force resulting in a return to sender effect?

Courier 6.
Lets take a look at his arsenal:

Esther- Big kid ammo
Mercy- 40mm Plasma
Spartel-wood- Max charge EC
AMR- HE rounds
Turbo
APA
Riot shotgun- Dragons breath (Sorry what was that about not being able to breathe fire?)
Med-x
Perks that are actually perks
and his greatest power: No cooldown on any of them.
