well I don't recall them saying they'd buff the armor, just that the weapons will be superior, and you say that was a lie? Shame. The weight makes sense though as the dragon bones are some of the heaviest items around (material wise)

It was a lie, they said in a loading screen they are stronger than daedric and in an interview Todd said dragonpate would recieve a buff.

I crafted a dragonbone greatsword and Bow using the same echanted equipment and potions that I used for my Daedric version. The Dragon weapons beat them by a couple points. It ain't blowing them out of the water, but they are more powerful. The armor might be another matter since I haven't compared them while making my dragonplate armor(decided to switch my look up.).

They're my favorite weapons in the game now. The warhammer is pure badassery.

Not sure what you mean by daedric is better by one point:

Daedric sword, for me, 585 damage.

Dragonbone sword, for me, 597 damage.

The increase is similar, on the bow. This is with smithing them to legendary, with a 4 piece 29 percent each smith bonus,
as well as a 147 percent increase smithing potion.

So it was not a lie, about the weapons. The dragonbone weapons are higher damage. Its not much of an increase, but its there.

I think the style of the daedric ones is still better. I'm using the dragonebone ones only because they are new, as well
as having more damage.

You DO know that Dawnguard is currently only out for Xbox, right? And that there are no mods on Xbox?
That i can prove... just saying.

I am using Dragonplate(legendary) with the Dragon bone war axe and bow. Not to concerned about the armor rating of Dragonplate it does the job just as good as daedric and the damage reduction is so small you don't really notice that Daedric has the upper hand.

I think they are all pretty cool you can't really expect them to look shiny and artsy for fact almost all the materials come from a Dragon

gz on using restoration potion exploit. 130% smithing potion is max with entchanting. 147 is usuing bugged restoration potions. could aswell raise dmg endless aswell.

518 dmg on deadric sword is max without using that exploit or bugged ancient knowlegde buff. so the difference is smaller in the end it seems than you claim.

if deadric weapons are weaker but armor is still stronger beth failed hard again. because the weapons look UGLY compared to the modded ones and dont fit with deadric armor at all.

That's why he said 'soon' :)

It goes by itself that mods are only for one platform at the moment!

You can mod an Xbox quite easily and I assume you can do the same for PS3.

But if you are using smithing and enchanting anyway, then the Daedric armor having a better armor rating is irrelevant since it's so easy to hit the armor cap as it is.

Anyway, as far as the weapon appearance goes the Dragonbone bow looks fine and I really like the look of the dagger. Although I could see why someone might be less impressed with everything else.

Don't worry, they'll be modded soon. Just waiting for the DGCK to come out.

PC already has a mod for a full set of dragon bone weapons, in fact by this point their are several.

LOVE the warhammer. It basically looks like a dragon leg bone stuck on a metal handle, kinda like a giant chicken leg bone you use to club people with.
It feels very monster hunter-y. I like that, but yeah they coulda done something a little less...simple.

Oh, my gosh. They look fantastic. I can't wait to kit out my assassin with those daggers & bow. *spaz* Thanks for the video link.

Those daggers and bow weigh 6.5 and 20 respectively.
Have fun hauling that crap around.
I'm too used to using bound weapons exclusively, so I might just stick with those instead and enjoy having a ~70 "necessities" carry weight
