So there is a beta but if your in it you cant tell anyone any of the new features? this is why we need a forum secret language.

Not really much point trying to keep it a secret since half of them had 'Dawnguard Beta tester' in their sig and so everyone knows who they are.

i never understood this, the goofs were told not to release info on their participation, and they post that, like some sort of, showing off, badge. Some people really need the attention, i guess?

Humph. Not impressed. I hoped we wouldn't get a beta again. It did very little and seemed to be a marketing tool over anything else. It showed as much transparency as the PS3 fiasco. I take it that all the Americans who took part in the DG beta are doing it again. Not really much point trying to keep it a secret since half of them had 'Dawnguard Beta tester' in their sig and so everyone knows who they are.
Different betas have different levels of secrecy. Although I did think it was funny how it blatantly says in the email to not discuss being in the beta, and yet, only minutes after the messages were sent out....

The primary focus has been and is to test the content and look for bugs. Whether or not those bugs are fixed by the official launch, however, is another story.

I only asked because the message said it was sent from "beta" that didnt seem legit so I asked. But it was still funny and the focus is the bugs.

So JUST to clarify: this beta is legit? I received the email from "beta@gamesas.com". This is real? I just want to be SURE before I sign anything lol

I work for Verizon I tested out a phone last week. I had to sign an NDA on that. I am used to these NDA's by now with other companies as well. Expect the beta keys to be sent out soon. The thing is though that they aren't just going to give out details. There was a picture posted earlier this week that hinted at new DLC. It's an interesting way of doing it but I've been waiting for this to come around and as I predicted it took about a week. Get used to the secrecy. And just as the first one someone will post videos and right blogs on it. It spoils it for most of us because they get more and more picky with their selections because some "kid" (not saying me being 18 isn't young) will go and post stuff all over their facebook, youtube, and blogger just to ruin this for us. So just for future reference. Don't go blabbing and get yourself stuck in a possible legal predicament because you can't keep your mouth shut.

Yeah I remember I had to sign a NDA for a web template I debugged in a previous job I had. It was completely different than the final presentation though, so having people debug it definitely made a difference! I hope the people who signed up for the Beta can root out as many bugs as possible before we get a PC release!

I will say that after the DG beta they sent us an email telling us that we would be chosen for future betas as well. That's all I will disclose beyond that email

I said it before no one answered. Is this a done deal we ARE getting the DLC if we got this email? Or is it just a sign up for it?

That's unclear but if you keep talking like that in this thread they might not tap you into the club lol

This... kind of sad... no chance for different people at all? :(

They did select other people who were not part of the DG beta.

How?

How?

Most likely from the sign up of the first Beta. They keep those cached...

I would like to know this as well because I got the Email as well and would like to know if I am in the Beta because I submitted my query or is it a selection of applicants?

US only remember just like Dawnguard. Obviously we can't get a straight answer on it but we all know it is true.
