Dragonborn Immortality

Nah. I'm pretty sure the Empire is doomed come TESVI. Even if you helped them hold onto Skyrim. The DB plotline and the general decay of the empire isn't giving them much hope.

My character is definitly going to be immortal. I plan on making him level 100 in every category with highly enchanted dragon armor so it is impossible for anyone to destroy him will all his power, then i am going to allow him to become a vampire so that he will never die of old age.

I was disappoint, this game lacked an end game cutscene. I was hoping for something Fallout-ish, or at the very least, Oblivion. Cut scenes make for a nice finale.

Yeah but the problem is most people don't really regard every septim ever as being Dragonborn (even though they mostly all were)
So Talos is pretty much regarded as the last "Real" Dragonborn until you came along.

Ya, I'm willing to bet that Martin probably is burning in Oblivion from his evil past. You don't make deals with Daedra and just walk away like nothing happened, they own you after they give you those shiny prizes. Even the Champion of Cyrodiil was dragged to an oblivion plan at some point. I personally wouldn't consider being lord of all the crazy people a reward, I mean would you want to be left in charge of a mental institution for all of eternity?

I don't see it as being a bad thing. I had a damn good time in SI myself. It didn't get boring.

They could make the CoC Sheogorath, because Sheo had an established 'preferred' appearance and every one daedra change their looks to what ever suits them. Problem with the dragon born is, you can't make him/her emperor or the next Talos as that would likely involve completely removing said emperor and talos from future games or establishing a 'canon' dragonborn, which Beth seems to have largely avoided doing in the past.

And the Nerevarine was an Imperial agent in the right place at the right time which allowed him/her to assume the messianic role of a local religion.

Face it, our characters in TES are practically demigods. No reason why something shouldn't come up that makes the Dragonborn immortal. You're also forgetting that Alduin's wall says our characters are the last Dragonborn, that defeats Alduin forever. Soul absorbed and everything.

but the dragonbown dont take his soul... maby you become him

or become adragon that works to

You won't become a dragon, you aren't guaranteed to be immortal or Godlike, You DIDN'T absorb Alduin's soul, an NPC even comments on this. Alduin isn't dead forever on that fact alone, it was likely that Alduin planned to kill all humans but He couldn't destroy the world. Was probs an Avatar of Alduin, much like the Hircine you fought in Bloodmoon was. Akatosh needs to destroy Nirn if anyone, not his pathetic son.

If you read the actual prophecy of the Nerevarine, it states that Nerevarine is Dragonborn as well.

The only difference being that there was just no way he could have been really sure he was a Dragonborn since there were no dragons to kill at the time, so maybe that's why he made his little expedition to Akavir after all? The land of dragons?

Now, the Skyrim Dragonborn is pretty much Talos II [Talosine? lol] , following his steps and all that.

If he goes on like that, maybe he will stay mortal. It's nice having a mortal hero for a change.

The Nerevarine is immortal, because of the Corpus. The Champion of Cyrodiil is immortal because of his/her new posting as the resident Daedric Prince of Insanity. (Or at least, I'd assume as much)

We need an expansion that lets the Dragonborn transcend the bonds of mortality, like his predecessors. He already can smith swords that can one shot Alduin.

His soul will live on forever in the halls of Sovengarde.

Well the last dragonborn became a [censored] divine,

Martin didn't become a divine. He became a statue.

Not all the Septims were Dragonborn.

Talos was the last Dragonborn on Nirn until your character in Skyrim.

Talos was not the last. He was merely the most important. And his entire line were Dragonborn.

That's kind of the point of this game, in fact. With Martin's death there were no Dragonborn left.

The Nerevarine was supposedly Dragonborn too.

That merely meant he was an agent of change. Something of a cultural usage for a great man.

There are plenty of NPCs and books in Skyrim that mention there hadn't been a Dragonborn since Tiber Septim; and he didn't even have to deal with any dragons because they were already long since dead.

Screw Sovngarde, I sold my soul to Hircine.

The more I think about it, the more I think I'll be going to sovngarde despite being a werewolf. If Hircine sends anything after me it'll get shouted back to hell, especially seeing as I removed my character's shout cooldown ;)

Eh.

The Nerevarine was immortal because of Corprus, yes. But there's nothing that states the Champion of Cyrodiil was the same person as the one who went to the Shivering Isles and mantled Sheogorath, so that's only a maybe. I, for one, don't want a bunch of immortals walking around that used to be my player-character all the time. The Dragonborn of Skyrim is promised a spot in Sovngarde. That should be enough.

Reminds me of Shale the Golem in Dragon Age. For those of you who don't know: Shale was a golem in a little rural country town, where everyone thought it was just a town square statue. The player can awake Shale from her 'off' mode and gain her as a partymember. Her mind was awake during her deactivation and she is extremely agitated with birds of all kinds, because well.. pigeons and statues and all that ;)

Can you imagina someone reanimate Martin (in dragonform no doubt) and be extremely pissed of all things flying. Cliffracers no more!

EDIT: Spelling

Spoiler
When you meet Sheogorath in game he alludes to being the champion of Cyrodil by talking about Martin Septim and stating he was there. Though not explicitly confirmed, it is heavily suggested.

Less of a maybe, more of a 'probably'..

Sheogorath in Skyrim says he was right there by Martin's side when he became the avatar of Akatosh [and who was the ONLY person by his side at that very time? The Champion].

He also mentions the Gray Fox, the Dark Brotherhood quest line, and a few other things.
