Dragonplate Armor - Wow, that is some ugly [expletive delete

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 3:23 am

Oh, I don't know about the cape thing. The mod I was talking about just uses the n'gale slot for a much nicer leather take on ranger armor ala Aragorn. I never use the n'gale armor at all, since I prefer the TG GM armor (which doesn't have "floaty bits" for one thing.... and is darker and less "glitzy" for another....)

my problem with nightingale armor is the cape.

how do you sneak with it?

it like wearing a dress with a trane.

you have to keep moving the trane out of the way.

The cape is a bit....weird. It doesnt seem to move naturally.

I like all the armors. Dragonplate is a bit bulky. Elven is a work of art. I am a Daedric user though

My problem with dragon armor is the heavy verison. The helm looks like it belongs on a diffrent set of armor-it simply does not go with the rest of it.

Now the colors are not exactly uh, nice looking. Too bad you cannot dye armors in the game to whatever you wish it to be.

I haven't seen the Nightingale yet, but, a cape? :P Wow, I'll have to see that...when I join the TG on an Assassin-type.

The only thing I really can't stand about the dragon bone armor are the dragon bone mudflaps.

The last game that I played that let you dye armors charged you to get access to black dye that was already on the disc. No thank you, don't give Bethesda any ideas.

I like my armor to look functional. So I went up the right side and stopped at Ebony. Light armors generally look better than heavy though, I'd use dragonscale armor as a heavy armor if I could.

I'm less picky about weapons, so I have a daedric sword, though I use magic most of the time.

It's mid-thigh length, backside only. Or there's a torn-scarf version from a mod I think. But since Beth has never figured out how to make their strange "physics" have cloth move normally, it just svcks rocks through a straw....

You would think that due to the dragons need to be sleek yet strong that armor made from them would be as such... I wonder upon the possibility of Bethisda creating a light form of dragon armor (hint hint ;) )

There is a light form of dragon armor. Dragonscale armor. Honestly, it looks pretty heavy to me, but it is classified as light armor.

My first character spent the perks to get to the Dragon armor. He felt like Fred Flintstone. Never again. Not even for the ability to make Daedric. There are other ways to get it. Two perks is all I will ever spend in Smithing.

Daedric, Ebony then Steel Plate as far as looks. In actuality it depends on my char and how they are RPd.

Yeah, i hate the dragonplate armor. Guy looks like he should be on the Flintstones. The dragonscale armor is better but I still don't really like either. I like the Nightingale armor the best. Steel Plate is my second favorite.
Man, Oblivion had some cool armor. Loved the one you got from DLC "The 9 Devines". I never wore anything else after I got that!

Nobody but me thinks that dwarven looks dumb? I think dragon looks pretty cool actually... Each to their own.

In my opinion elven looks a little too girly.

In my opinion Scaled Horn Armor is some of the coolest in the game. Of course, I play a Nord, and just about every other type of armor looks weird on him.

dwarven looks very clunky and really only fit for a beefy nord male.

I have poor borghak wearing it and shes absolutely drowning in the thing.

I don't mind the Dragonscale armor, seems fitting for the Dragonborn to get some use out of all the dead dragons. I don't really like the look of the Dragonplate, but I rarely play a character that wears heavy armor anyway. My current character and Erik the Slayer (her follower for the last 30+ levels) are both wearing dragonscale and it looks okay.

I'm not crazy about the long bones on the greaves either. :P

Yeah, the Ebony set is the last functional armor up the constellation because it's smooth. No one in their right mind would wear Daedric - too many affectations sticking off of it. If you got hit in the head one of the spiny points would catch a weapon and break your neck.

But since Beth has never figured out how to make their strange "physics" have cloth move normally, it just svcks rocks through a straw....
I try to rationalize it by saying to myself: they make it static to miminize lag by not animating it and requiring the system to redraw it with every breeze. :P

Kinda liking Glass...

I've been using Glass armor on my most recent play through. I like it a lot, but I feel like a Beetleborg sometimes.

The Dwarven looks intimidating, but I don't care for the boots - they look amateurish...like sheet metal attached to proper boots.

The Dragonplate looks inimidating too, but it's just prehistoric (Flintstones...exactly ) and crude looking.
