Elfpunk can save the monotony of Skyrim.

I was just thinking the other day how Fallout 4 needs to be high fantasy.

MAKE IT SO, TODD HOWARD.

Certainly a better idea than the vampires and werewolves plan A for these guys.

I haven't even heard of Elfpunk until recently, I connected the dots and said hey I know a game with elves.

So I came here to spread the seed.
Sorry if I sounded rude. Just a lore freak and stuff(unless http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/470861053753302668/D7F92589EF99733E0CE7F163C54D24DF519BF1A7/268x268.resizedimage)... I have never heard of this fantasy genre until tonight... If I do see any stuff about it that is worthwhile, I might check it out.

Now you are making me have awaken nightmare of the short story I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream. Singularity of computers terrify me... I can see the Altmer figuring out tech, just no suburbia or anything.

Funny how both fandoms are so defensive. Just pointing the humor out. Not insulting. I like both Fallout and TES, but find this to be an interesting occurrence. I like TES more because I am more of a fantasy fan, but love me some good sci-fi.

No, no suburbia. Just an oppressed Tamriel being ruled by High Elves. With wood elves and dark elves being the focal point as punks. It's intriguing and would certainly get me back to playing skyrim.

I would pay another 50 for this "elfpunk" DLC. It's far from steampunk.

Bethesda loves punk, from dishonored to fallout. Why not Elder Scrolls?

It's different and way out of left field.

I'll have to admit, I love steampunk (Bioshock is my favorite game of all time, not sure if many consider it a steampunk or not, one can argue. Perhaps Cyberpunk), but it's not something I want for TES. Though, I am getting Dishonored.

I'm excited for Dishonored. Love me some first person stealth. Plan to check out the Thief games at some point.

I've searched the interwebs far and wide.

There is no art based on Elfpunk. No movies, certainly no video games, it's only relegated to a very FEW books.

The imagination is firing up on all cylinders on what it could look like.

Even if people dislike the idea, they still haven't a clue on what it could be.

Appears the genre is just new or extremely underground.

It's not that people dislike the idea. I find it all very interesting, but it's not something I see for the future for TES. Though, it's something that someone else can use for a game, even though TES would fit the picture with the elves.

Found some in google images under the keywords cyberpunk elves or elf.

A World of Elfpunk and Elder Scrolls would blow my mind.

I just can't stop picturing High Elf megacorporations with low life Wood Elves and Dark Elves. Cybernetic elves, something about fantasy fusing with sci-fi is making me all wired and electric inside.

And thinking about their relationships with the other races in Future Skyrim, if the Nords even know their own history. Orcs being used by High Elves as police. Khajit selling skooma in tons. Endless possibilities are endless.

I don't know how people cannot like an idea when they've never seen it or even heard of it. It is pretty underground with nothing major in the form of literature existing.

I can see someone making a lot of money using the romance of cyberpunks struggle with authority combined with the fantasy of elves, fairies, and dragons.

If someone were to write a book, that was deep and not cliche they would become the next J.K. Rowling.

Bethesda could take a risk and try something new before anyone else.

If you want a mix of fantasy and cyberpunk in a computer game wait for shadowrun online or Shadowrun returns to come out, both of which are currently being made. Leave Skyrim to be what it is, which is pure fantasy.

Who said anything about brostep???

And yes, Khajits, Argonians, Wood Elves in the FUTURE, HELL YEAH!!!!

Nobody mentioned brostep, it's dubstep - brostep is some american hybrid of dubstep that is believe it or not a lesser form of 'music' than it's english father.

Re: elfpunk - Not a chance, if you are borded with skyrim don't play it.

I'm confused why we'd want to save Skyrim's monotony. That's like saying we should save Skyrim's broken magic system, or its lack of consequences, or its bugs.

These are things I want fixed, not preserved.

The person had just discovered the elfpunk genre and found it extremely interesting. I sometimes can get really hyped up about something I just discovered, but eh.

That aside, I'd love to see many of Skyrims problems fixed. Mods for us PC users don't cut it, sorry. Official fixes are worth many words to us, at least to me. Maybe it's just my lack of sleep, but the most important fixes during a game's lifespan is the official ones when the game is being supported. I heard somewhere that companies are using the online thing that many games have these days, even single player games, to figure out what things are most popular in that game easier.

Let's do those problem quests more often so they know what the problems are if this thing I've heard is true. Maybe sending screenshots and photographs with a letter through snail mail can also be helpful.

The magic system probably will be fixed. Seems like there's just too much agitation over it for me to not see it getting fixed next game. I'd better just leave these kinds of posts in the hardware boards... Oh well.

I don't know how people cannot like an idea when they've never seen it or even heard of it. .

Probably in the same way that you can like the idea when you haven't seen it (or, as you say, have only seen the tiny amount of stuff that's out there...).

I'm sure that lots of people on here have fertile imagination, and are versed in the various forms of -punk. Don't make the mistake of thinking that just because people don't like your idea that they instantly don't understand it.

Personally, I kind of like the idea, but don't tihnk it would fit well in TES. And let's be honest, TES doesn't have a copyright on elves. Maybe this is calling for a game of it's own.
