I think the biggest question right now is will this effect the PC version? I think we will all calm down if you tell us that they are separate teams or something working on each platform, if that is the case.

solo content focus - check
more of multiplayer than MMO - check
No raids - check
Consoles - check
guess it will be a brilliant MMO hahahahahahaha, what a fail
Just Gstaff, summer is only a mod. Mods do not work for Bethesda, they are only volunteers.
I wondered about this for a few reasons.
1. Console players are familiar with TES since Morrowind.
2. The 8 hot key, humm seems like it would work on a controller.
3. More action based.
I am interested to see how this plays out. Many factors went into WoW being so big but one factor is so many PC gamers had played RTS Warcraft. Having such a huge fan base outside the MMO community brought many into the fold. ESO could play out similar for consoles. The only major MMORPG for consoles is Final Fantasy, yes there are others such as Phantsy Star and etc but FF has the largest console player base by a large margin.
Since Sony and Xbox, if it also goes to the Microsoft's console, both have x86 architecture fewer technical sacrifices have to be made to release on all systems. Now play control, social systems and etc are a different story. I could see ESO and Project Destiny turn this generation of consoles to MMO RPGs.
Nick Konkle said it was being released this year in multiple interviews.
Well, I'm still getting it on my PC foremost, regardless of no modding abilities outside of LUA.
That only really applies to consoles at the mid - end of their lifecycle.
The megaserver technology featured in The Elder Scrolls Online will allow PC (Windows OS) players and Mac players to play together. XBox One players will play on their own megaserver as will PlayStation 4 players.
Nope there aren't any, you only have their word that they are working on it.
Forget what I wrote here. Gstaff just said that console players will have their own megaserver so this doesn't apply anymore.
True true, but I didn't wanna leave her out, hehe.
This is EXCELLENT news. Though they would have been fun for fodder.
Raids or not, I am worried about different issues happening on different platforms, meaning three times as much required hotfixing for hardware stuff...
And if console players dont get a stronger aim assist, PC players are going to devour them... that isn't console bashing, or flaming anyone's skill... it is just a fact of life that a mouse is more precise than a thumbstick.. Hence why Halo: Combat Evolved created the soft lock 'sticky' that makes it harder to just pass over an enemy while aiming...
play any modern shooter and you will see what i mean.
EDIT: Gstaff confirmed separate megaservers...
Splitting playerbase so much...
pick up -gruops meeting other pick up gruops is not my idea of raiding, or anyone else that as ever played an MMO before,
just start to mentalize that AZ will be exactly like GW2 large scale PvE
And how will this affect PC clients ? Will we be faced with the game interface designed for console players or will there be separate clients with different design specifically designed for PC/Console?
the last gen of consoles had mmo games on them why would anyone anywhere think the next gen would not?
FANTASTIC. *sarcasm off*
Now your playerbase will be split three times more than it should have...
Don't care really as long as it doesn't affect PC release. Whabam.
Ok, well that eases my mind a lot. I really didn't want to see console players being on the same megaserver as PC gamers. The main issue being with any type of patch that needs to be put into the game either one of the two playing communities (console/PC gamers) would be absolutely screwed over.
Wait, it is gonna be on Xbox One too?
Yeah,Pete hines just said so on twitter D: this is crazy!! i didnt see this coming
alsoi didnt pay much attention to the trailer, gotta watch it again.. I was just mindblown becouse it was announced for consoles O.O i mean.. Wow..
Thank God.
Half my stress is gone,
now what I really would like to know is if you guys are casualizing the game more for Console players or if your going to keep the Elder Scrolls feel of it being complicated when need be, for example, Morrowind and Oblivion had more depth in character customization than Skyrim. Will this be a factor you guys consider in making the game?
Also, what audience will you cater more to? The PC or Console, this is a big deal.
Defiance did a great job at their UI
/sarcasm
on a side note PS4 absolutely demolished XBOX ONE. Better gfx, cheaper, you can buy used games and rent games, no always-online....
Or...she is a secret Bethesda operative out to spy on us! Oh wait...Nevermind, summer, you are awesome
Got my eye on you!
Making stuff up because your pissy about the game being on consoles is hardly constructive.
