360 owners pay to play online, whereas I don't pay anything but my ISP bill. Micorsoft uses some of that income to get DLC early to their players, I don't personally have a problem with it.

^This. I have to pay for Xbox Live Gold, so if they use that surplus money to get me exclusive content at an earlier date, I have no problem with it.

Well, that's not Beth's fault, Sony should have paid them to make it exclusive to PSN

EDIT:Do you really think you will even have scratched the surface of the game in 30 Days? I don't think so.

EDIT2:Actually, we don't even know the release date, it doesn't mean it comes out right after the game is released, it will probably released a few months after.

Microsoft has the $$$.

Because Sony doesn't? <_<

Anyways MS's exclusivity rights are soon to be non-existent.

To be fair, this just means you only get to have the DLC for 30 days, and then it's deleted off your Xbox and you can't download it any more.

Better get it for PC.

Fallout 3 did the same thing.

Yup!

I understand the disappointment, but m$ often pays good money for these exclusives, where Sony can actually be difficult to work with on things.

Exclusive content... you still have to pay for. I'd rather wait than pay, I pay by the year but it's still an annoyance.

I dont know how long this has been known but ive only just noticed, on the XBox live dashboard there is a tab that says "The first two game add-ons for TES V: Skyrim will be exclusive to Xbox 360 for 30 days"... now im an Xbox player but even i think thats slightly unfair on PS3 owners... PC's get mods, Xbox gets DLC 30 days early and PS3 get nothing to compensate?
I think it's good, a whole month will give me a chance to save up some cash after paying for the CE

Bah, I'm going to play it on the PC but i can wait even without DLC.

It's a bit annoying but i try not to think about it.

This game is so huge I highly doubt any PS3 owner is going to be waiting for the DLC. They'll be too busy playing the freaking game still

Who said the DLC comes out in a month after the release? Nobody.

We don't know the release date.

That is pretty true for most, it might just be myself but I love to have everything and get the game as big and full as possible as I play.

Even though I might not play it I like the idea that it is there and i have the option being, the completionist that I am i love the game to be as big as possible :P.

360 owners get shafted with crappy console and have to pay for online so i have no problem with them getting dlc a month early.

bethesdas dlc alwasy cost way too much anyhow, i wait and trade in my copy of skyrim for a used copy of goty edition and get game and all dlc for $30 anyhow.

Microsoft paid Bethesda to get them early. Sony chose not to, when they could have, so it is nobody's fault but their own. (Not trying to insult Sony, btw.)

I'm a ps3 user.

Can't say I'm happy about it, but it's not that important, either. There's [censored]loads of content in this game. I played Oblivion for several years, so I'm sure I'll be able to find some cool content to play around with while waiting for the DLC's.

The wait for the game itself, though, that is pure torment. Even though it's just slightly under 25 hours till I'm in line at midnight release.

Soon..within..my..grasp...

Edit:

Also, xbox users, when debating with ps3 users, never use the argument "Well then just buy a [censored] xbox". Not everyone craps cash. A new game system is quite expensive if you're a stundent, just moved out, etc.

I really like to read so many people write that console owners have to pay for go online ...

Because PC owners can go online for free, for sure....

It's kind of annoying but it's typical for Microsoft. I'll wait the 30 days and get it then. Meanwhile, I'll allow myself a big smile everytime someone's 360 melts down.. :brokencomputer:

Well, obviously we have to pay for the internet connection (unless you find an unprotected WLAN to connect trough, it's legal here ;)), but the actual services for us are free.

So? Nevertheless PC owners pay more for internet connection that a xbox owner pay for their services with live...

Eh. I figure Skyrim will have plenty of content to last me a month. (understatement) So it doesn't bother me that much.

I had my PS3 account hacked when it went down for a month and had to fight sony tooth and nail for my $80 back. You get what you pay for. :(

It's funny, PS3 keeps passing over exclusives to the 360, (Metal Gear/ Dark Souls) yet Microsoft is still contempt on being a monopoly with these back door business practices. Maybe just make a better console to begin with and you won't have these problems..
Mass Effect, Dead Rising, Bioshock.

It goes both ways.
