Exclusive XBox Skyrim DLC

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 12:10 am

As much as I hate the exclusive releases, especially to X360 since they are always first, I am contented by the fact that I will be playing Skyrim while I wait for it anyway, so idc as much

I'm a PC-gamer myself and personally I think it's a bit insulting. Not just towards ps3 players but also towards the PC-gamers.
In case a lot of people have forgotten, The Elder Scrolls started on the PC. Just like Fallout did. That's where it's got it's first loyal fans and I think they are forgetting that. It's like they are a husband that says "sorry but that girl is offering me a bit more in bed. I know that you have been very loyal and giving ever since the start and have basically helped to shape me to what I am today but she's got a better offer for me right now so....bye!"

It's like PC-gamers are getting screwed more and more and it's starting to really really annoy me. Yes I'm aware that the consoles bring the most money but come on! Have some loyalty to the hardcoe fans that you started with too.

On another note I also think it's extremely unfair towards the PS3-users. Us PC-gamers have at least mods but they don't. It's a little unfair to first say that you release on PC and consoles and then later on say...oh but you get a little bit extra and the rest doesn't. That's just unfair and insulting. If you release a game then either do it exclusively or don't but don't try to do it both ways.

It's like saying to a kid "oh sweeties I love you all equally." Just to lean down next to one of them and whisper. "But you are my favourite." It's just insulting towards the others because they are just as good as that one.

SONY owns in-house studios that make exclusive titles for their console.
MS doesn't own studios except maybe "bungie" and their exclusives are very few. They should invest their money in hiring talented people to make more exclusive titles instead of paying off for timed exclusive dlc in my opinion.

Speaking for myself I don't buy dlc. I am against it in principal. I can't help wondering though, this is a minimum 100 hour game. Why would anyone be eager to buy the dlc right away?

Nevertheless PC owners pay more for internet connection that a xbox owner pay for their services with live...

I don't follow that logic. My PC and PS3 use the same connection

A very good point has just been made... PS3 users dont pay for online gaming... whereas Xbox users have to pay £40 a year, so technically PS3 users are getting the better end of the stick -.-
Yeah, except our service is crap. Borderlands on psn is bad. I love borderlands, but its hard to play with friends online because it doesn't want to connect you to the game, or let you talk. Don't even get me started on civ rev. I love my ps3, and that there's no fee to play online, but the service just isn't up to par with XBL.

Mass Effect, Dead Rising, Bioshock.

It goes both ways.
Err Mass Effect 2 and eventually 3 will be released for PS3. The first one was published by MS, and they are not willing to sell the first one to PS3 users, stating that to get the full ME experience, you will have to buy one of their consoles. With a toothy, nefarious grin thinking that I will buy their product if they want to be difficult about it all. My big F-You to MS: Idc about playing the first one :D

how is it not unfair towards PC users aswell though? xD just because we get mods, doesn't mean we shouldnt get stuff the same time as everybody else. Anyway, yea it's actually really annoying to me, not that I can't wait 30 days, its more the idea of them keeping content from us, just to please the xbox people (or whoever they're trying to please)
