I assume it's a number made up of the diffrent platforms, diffrent versions (regular and pip boy) and diffrent versions based on countries.

Maybe this means that they'll push the release date up...

Considering that the re-releases of cancelled pip-boy editions sells out within 20-30 minutes on the gamesas store...

Nah means that each disc has the full game + the language / pre rendered cutscenes on it. No download unless day one patch is a must.

Knowing that the disks are being printed, and the game files going to be on steam soon, excites me even more knowing it's finally almost here!

I'll not be able to play Fallout 4 on the release date, but still i can't wait to go back playing Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 in November. It's gonna be awesome!

To be fair, I was/am just as hyped to hear something new, and the news of going gold was pretty 'well duh' to me as well....but if you look at it from there side it's a big milestone, something they really want to celebrate. They have been working so hard for so long and it's one of those "wow, finally, we've reached this first major end point, we can take a breather for a moment (before delving into patches for found bugs and DLC ect)" so lets all give the guys at Beth a great big CONGRAGULATIONS!

Yeah big CONGRAGULATIONS to the team at Bethesda to get finally out of the most stressfull time in development and at least one very good news for us. After going gold there isn't a chance for a pushed back release date (for game developement reasons) anymore.

Yeah, I'm hoping we won't see any leaked footage but I'm betting some employee somewhere will be stealing copies as soon as it's printed at the factory. Who knows though... maybe they did something sneaky with the console version as well to make it unplayable unless you actually go on the internet and activate it or something. As much as that would piss people off it sure would slow down any leaks.
