Fallout New Vegas.... a big step up...

I hope Bethesda just lets Obsidian do it forever. Bethesda would force them to ruin the games story with their stupid CONTINUE AFTER THE GAME BS.

But they didnt do that.

(only for F3) and that was from the fans continuing to complain about it.

Todd Howard seems that endless games with endless levels and endless skills seems like a good idea, and that seems like he doesn't know [censored] about Fallout, tbh.

He himself said that the game ending and having a level cap were the things they learned not to do with Fallout 3, this, imo, shows just how incompetent some of them are, in terms of making a Fallout game.

However, as they didn't enforce this on Obsidian there may be hope still.

So New Vegas level cap of what would be 50 at end of DLC's compare to fallout 3 level cap of 30, would be fallout like? How is Bethesda doing endless levels, It seem like in the level area Obsidian is doing much worse than Bethesda?

Coundn't you get to 300 in max skill in Fallout 2 and could only go up to 100 in skill in Fallout 3?

The games are balanced differently, a level 30 LW actually has more health, more skill points, and more perks than a level 50 Courier.

Yes, you could, but it took crazy dedication and you, for the most part, if you wanted to go that high in mastery, had to spend entire levels worth of skills solely on one skill, so it was specialization, in Fallout 3, 100 was the max, and you could reach max and several skills way before the level cap.

Really? I found it to be the opposite. Vault 11, for one example, was (imo) way more interesting a place than any location in Falout 3.

You found vault 11 more interesting than any location in fo3?

It was good, and better than fo3 vaults, but the mall and DC ruins slapped fo nv locations in every way. New Vegas does not remind me of Los Vegas in the slightest. DC in fo3 reminded me of DC.

Let see Maxed LW has 30 normal perks and 15 perk he can get without leveling, Maxed LW=45perks. Maxed Courier has 25 normal perks and 26 perks he can get out leveling, 2 Companion perk and let not add implants. Courier has 53 perks without impants nor trait that show up on perks list added and without any more info on other DLC's possible perks you don't need to level for.

So the maxed Courier has more perks, you just need to work for get them and likely have more Perk that he can unlock in other DLC's.

The Lone Wanderer likely has more health due to almost perfect and skill point are not set as the LW could have 1 int and Courier could have 10 int.

NV is a step up from Fallout 3, but not that much. I LOVED Honest Hearts but I HATED Dead Money. I love the crafting, weapons, survival skill, and stories. The Atmosphere on the map was not polished enough, I understand it's the Mojave desert, but I thought buildings like the Repconn headquarters was going to be like Fort Constantine or the Strip was going to be an actual city and not 4 casinos with an NCR embassy.
