Fallout 4 Speculation, Ideas and Suggestions #253

Exactly, we should be introduced to the region as an outsider so that we can objectively view the situation without being swayed by initial emotions. I want to learn the history, culture and political situations as an outsider so that everything feels fresh and that I can really delve into it and learn things.

I was under the impression that the engine was setup to reload the default state every three game days... That's a flaw for an RPG is it not? Does that not wipe the slate clean for all but a few tagged exceptions?

No.

The game is set up that way, as most open-world games, regardless of the engine they use, have a similar feature to lower RAM usage, but nothing in the engine forces it to be that way. It's not even a thing in the other games that use the engine, because they are level based or w/e, so they don't need to use RAM saving measures.

I consider the state which it shipped, as the intended design of their customized engine.

I did guffaw. :)

Gizmo, if you get a tuned-up plasma rifle from the chief of security in a major wasteland settlement, and have free reign to shoot a traveller from a far away land who has been asking too many questions, what do you think happens when the cell respawns 3 days after you incinerate him?

That's not the issue. The issue is when you shoot him and he survives.

So your saying you don't really care about how it works?

Let me guess, next you will be saying that the engine can't handle large numbers of NPCs in battles, simply because the game shipped without large numbers of NPCs in battles?

You can use that feature but you don't have to espescially in NV which supports reputation. It's only a limitation if you let it to be.

We are talking about the engine here not about the setup of the NPCs in the game.
