Favorite Style

My favorite play style is anti-mage character, i am so fond with anti-mage character since i play DotA (Magina and Drow Ranger), then in DA:O there is Templar and Spirit School magic for Mages (Mages can be an excellent anti-mage in DA:O, in fact an overpowered Templar). So in Oblivion and Skyrim, i am prone to make such build. And for that reason i love Breton.

Unfortunately, at the very start of the game i got offensive spell that is flame and in Skyrim, there is conjuration, summoning familiar in which contradict the concept, but i can pretend my character learn magic just to know about it but never use it, so she learn every offensive and "dark" magic from tomes or books to know "how to counter them", but never use them

Anti-Mage is a character that rely on magic resistance, dispell magic, silence, mana burn, mana drain, cleanse area from magic...and strike with weapon or "holy magic" (or neutral magic)

As for anti-mage Mage, it is quite hard to make it in TES, because as a Mage, must rely on offensive spells as primary weapon, if there is such magic just using energy blast (or "magic" blast) it will be nice (In DA:O there is Arcane Bolt and Mana Clash, but Arcane Bolt is weak, so i spec my anti-mage Mage to become Arcane Warrior, using sword In DA:O)

Good points. Dragon Age and DotA Anti-mages simply do not exist. Sounds like you role play it very well, though. +1

My favorite playstyle is Beggar.

~^ Joking.

I like playing as a mage, and like Niza said,I like being Anti-Mage too, relying on Magic and Magic resistance as well.

I also like being an assassin(I'm Ezio hahahahaha),but depends on the backstory I want to make.

Yes, Tamriel need DA:O Templar, because there are a lot of magic abuse :D

In Oblivion there is Witchhunter class, but i don't like the spec, conjuring skeleton warrior as the first skill? That is so contradicting. The spec is just doesn't feel right.

Nord 2H Sword warrior and Bow as a back up. No magic. Werewolf. I try to do good as Mundus is full of evil even so I have done things Im not proud of. Always play on Master.

I'm currently running Nord barbarian type--2h Nordic Greatsword (courtesy of Dragonborn DLC), light armor, but I use a bow only for dragons. It's a fun character.

I played a Wood Elf daggers/bow and light armor up to level 40. Just started a spellsword/axe/hammer build though, 1h weapon in right, destruction in left and heavy armor. Preferring that so far.

This would be solved if the Silence spell was re-introduced, since it stops people from using magic. And whichever skill had that(probably Illusion, since that is where it has been in th past) would be one of the skills I used the most. Anti-mage abilities sometimes feel like a must, with all the mages running around.

Also, adding the "Damage Magica" spells would be nice with regards to this.

Yes, anti-Mage in Skyrim must rely on Magic Resistance to become anti-mage, because there lack on Anti-Magic skills to use.

If training in Alteration higher level give Spell Absorb (Atronach) in which nice, but the feeling of becoming a Mage nightmare is lost because there is lack of anti-thesis for magic in Skyrim.

So, anti-Mage in Skyrim must have
- Magic resistance
- Spell Absorb
- Damage Magicka weapon enchantment (plus Lunar enchantment-this however personal favorite)

Ward in restoration i found it not practical because we must maintain it, better the passive from Alteration

Too bad there is no Silence, Dispell and Reflect Spells....

Edit : However, using enchantments need Soul Trap or using Soul Gems, a contradiction of anti-mage existence that is to against such thing

Rarely do I ever post anything on any forum, but, I thought I'd share my characters' traits, etc.

I don't 'try' to be a hero. I don't 'try' to be a bad person either. I just try to get on with my life. Every now and then, I stop by a city or a village and just help out to make a buck. If someone needs some bandits dead for 100 gold, then, al the better.

Sometimes I sneak by. Sometimes I just rampage through. And, sometimes, I need magic to help me.

In the end, I'm just another citizen of Skyrim trying to get by.

This is what I do. I've created characters for specific reasons and I don't have as much fun with them. Those that I create and "let's see where life takes this guy" are the few that I've had the most fun with.

The skeletons in Oblivion are summoned from the Daedric realms, not bound to Mundus by necromantic means. As such, it is not inherently evil.

If it still bothers you, you could RP that your character is calling on their ancestors for help.

Another thing to consider, is the description of the class in Morrowind: "...waging a martial, magical and stealthy war against evil..."

Well I'm going to create a Witchhunter tonight, haha. Or, more likely, I will let the idea simmer for a while a create said character in a few days.

In the vague sense, I tend to play mostly Rogues/Stealthy characters.

I had my Khajiit Thief, focusing obviously on the Stealth Skills, primarily pickpocket. No backstab bonus perks with a few points in Archery and One handed.

My Dunmer Assassin was probably prototypical for the race, Illusion and Stealth were primaries. Nothing super special.

A Bosmer Ranger (Due to the racial ability) who focused solely on Archery for offense. Easily the most overpowered build I have played.

Next will be a Charming Thief. Lots of perking going in the Speech tree for RP Purposes. Not sure which Race as yet though.

I have tried warriors and mages, but for some reason in Skyrim I just get drawn to stealth builds.

I make custom anti-mage character in Oblivion, more resembles Dragon Age Templar, of course not 100%

It is time for someone to rise up against the madness of magic abusers in Tamriel, i thereby invoke the Right of Anulment! lol :D
