Fear the troll, kiss the dragon.

There was always a frost troll on my way up the 7000 steps to see the Gerybeards on the MQ line. I tried numerous times to get around him (I ended up completing numerous quests between each attempt). I ended thinking it was a subtle hint that I wasn't high enough of a level. Finally at level 15 I ended up buying some summon storm atronarch spells and stocking up on potions. After kiting and running around for 10 minutes, I finally ended up killing him. I'm guessing not everyone else had the same problem?

I had the exact same problem, right after I spent 45 mins searching for the damned stairs. He killed me the first time, the second time I lucked out and he was perched on a cliff likes gargoyle. He had trouble getting down so between my bow and my fire breath shout I managed to get him down to half health, then me and my companion had an easier time of it. Fire should stop regeneration in trolls.

First time I fought a snow troll I kicked it's ass. I was going up the throat of the world and I seen the troll jump down. I summoned a flame atronach and threw fire bolts at it. It didn't even touch me.

Dragons, Trolls, Spigans... lots of things actually. lvl 17 hunter. Ranged attacks are fun but not so great yet. One handed axe is good too but I cant take dmg for the life of me. BTW trolls become simple with poisons and FusRosDah.

I was level 16 going up the throat of the world and I saw one a short distance ahead of me. A little stonefles, a few firebolts and a swing or two with my elven sword made it pretty easy.
I havent seen any other trolls yet though

Trolls arn't that hard. I killed the one on the throat of the world trail in like 10 seconds with the default flame spell and like 3 sword strikes at level 13, my destrcution was only level 16 and one handed was 36. Not sure if that troll is weaker than others though. They don't like fire much.

Which shouts do you use?
Probably .... something like... "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh! Run away!"

Agreed with trolls being ridiculously overpowered. I usually just run around and kite the troll until it's dead, while my mage companion just dpses it. It does take away the epicness on fighting dragons, though.

i think thats just troll. frost trolls are much more power in hits. my warrior was 13 when i was walking up the steps and got killed in two power attacks.

ofcourse trolls can be overcome simply by taking time to hit. delay between their attack is quite long.

I have yet to survive a Frost Troll encounter but I've defeated many dragons.

I to have defeated dragons.... but the key to killing a frost troll is luring him to a ledge and using FUS RO DAH.....in order to send him flying off the mountain.............sorry if i spelled FUS RO DAH wrong....

I agree! Dragons are easy, the troll is most fearsome.

Weird I think the troll I saw must have been in the same spot! He was always up on a cliff and would jump down as soon as you would walk by. I was able to get off a few bow shots but my sneak wasnt high enough and he would soon spot me.

Yeah as long as you can utilize the shield bash, and take you time with a 2 strike, step back combo trolls arent too bad. I also like to hit them with the fire shout when they come running up to me.

Frost troll. Found one on my way up to the grey-beards. Tried to fight it, used up all my potions, and eventually ran. I think it's the only thing I tried to and failed to kill :/

Face a blood dragon by yourself.

I was feeling pretty tough after fighting my first blood dragon (only second wandering dragon I'd fought). Of course, it was a fire-breathing one, and I'd just found 50% resist boots. (To go with my 30% resist shield.)

Then I ran into my second blood dragon.

Frost.

Needless to say, I died. And died. And died. And.... well, you get the picture. Still haven't beaten that one (it seems to be one of the set location dragons). I need to find some frost resist gear.
