Fear the troll, kiss the dragon.

Snow trolls, bane of my existence! When I spot one, I stop dead in my tracks. Turn slowly, and fleeeeeeeeeeee!

Dragon screeching above, helloooooooooooo dragon!! Come down give me a hug you scaly adorable fire-breathing cutie.

I think gamesas needs to put the fire back into the dragon, and nerf the trolls. I want to fear the dragon, not the troll.

You are likely well beyond where you should be. Because trolls are only in some areas they have a high beginning level. Dragons however have to scale to you since they can fly around everywhere.

If you are at the appropriate level to be facing trolls then you should be facing the stronger dragons which are FAR more fearsome then trolls. In fact, I recently saw a dragon eat a troll.

The first time I saw a Frost Troll, I said, "Oh, look, it's one of those weak things from Oblivion, but white. Time to sleep." I barely survived the battle. Now, each time I fight them, I use my best equipment. I had to turn down the difficulty, just to nerf them.......and those Dragon Priests. Those Draugr Wights are pretty though too.

Since I have cranked the difficulty up to expert the frost dragons have become heavy hitters, but the most powerful, non-unique enemy I have faced so far is the Draugr Scourgelord. He was reeally fun to fight, almost as fun as the deathlord I meet about 10 levels earlier.
But I fear neither of these creatures since they are challenging, but not frustrating or unfair. What I do fear is higher level elemental mages with supperior positioning so my characters melee prowes won't make a difference.

I've found that the trick to defeating frost trolls is the effective use of shouts.

Sounds like you will have some fun with the Draugr Scourge, Deathlord, Overlord, Death Overlord and Scourge Lord all which are(as I have experienced it) far more powerful than the Wights(and very fond of using the Thu'um against you).

I addition too my earlier post I fear the higher ranking draugr(deathlord+) when they wield bows. Bastards takes 90-95% of my health with a single shot with their infamous ebony bows.

There was always a frost troll on my way up the 7000 steps to see the Gerybeards on the MQ line. I tried numerous times to get around him (I ended up completing numerous quests between each attempt). I ended thinking it was a subtle hint that I wasn't high enough of a level. Finally at level 15 I ended up buying some summon storm atronarch spells and stocking up on potions. After kiting and running around for 10 minutes, I finally ended up killing him. I'm guessing not everyone else had the same problem?

Interesting, I've never fought any Draugr that's tougher than a wight. I've got some tough draugr fights ahead of me then.

WTF does your sig mean? /offtopic

I've seen a few dragons that I couldn't beat. One Alduin himself summoned, the dragon had a name and had tons of health but this was back in my lowly level 9 days.

The first troll I encountered which was on the way up the 7000 steps I ended up killing by patiently putting 75+ arrows into it. :)
