Female Gunners are Cute. Why?

The gunner harness is more military green, while the normal harness has more of a brownish vibe to it.

lol they eat better?

*shakes head* haha

I don't pay attention to any of this. I'm a sniper in my game so I rarely get close enough. If I AM close enough, I'm using a gauss on them and they are obliterated before I can get a good look at them.

I don't really look at a character and think "wow, he or she is goodlooking." My brain doesn't really work like that. I'm more attracted to personality, so that is what will draw me in. Someone said the girl at Atom Cats garage was hot. I was like huh? I had been there three times to buy stuff and I hadn't even noticed her appearance at all.

You should see them with CBBE mod installed.

I'm interested in the psychology of why guys seem to have a need for beautiful characters in games. it almost seems like an obsession/infatuation/preoccupation. Anyone care to shed light on it?

Guys always like looking at attractive women in any context. It's evolutionarily hard-wired.

I found some Raiders that has charm and when they are dead I found myself pissed off even more because a cutie went down and called that one a certain name with dumb with it. Gunners, some are cute, but most are too much GI Jane to my liking, but that is who they are as well.

I have to admit I hate to shoot some of them ... in their cute little military caps and all that. Wish there was a KO feature sometimes.

ALL the women in the game, even the ghoulettes, are in remarkably good shape. The lack of a steady junk food diet, constant physical labor and running around (going everywhere on foot) all contribute to that, surely. When I equip my settlers with armor, I have to undress them first, thus witnessing for myself that basically all the females in the game are eye-candy material.

I don't find any of the females particularly attractive, but I do strip all of them naked (as well as the males) whenever I kill them. After all, some of that stuff they are wearing could turn into a perfectly good chair, painting, or even a radio.

Gunners seem much more likely than Raiders to have facilities on hand that allow for proper hygiene. They also seem a lot less likely to be jet heads and more likely to engage in regular exercise because of their military mindset. Those factors would combine to make the average Gunner (of either gender) more attractive than the average raider.

So much so, in fact, that an expanded version of the RPG system G.U.R.P.S. had an optional rule called "Bulletproof Nudity" that would deal male characters or NPCs penalties to shoot at a naked or semi-naked woman, lol.

Because video games are fantasy. Attractive women in fantasy settings is a natural, and dealing with a fantasy woman has (generally speaking) a few advantages over dealing with real women.

Well if they were REAL, yes...but they are just pixels, so they don't eat or get any type of actual exercise.

Yes, us real women are scary. I understand.

I suppose I would make a few tweaks to McCready if I had mod capability on my console. Like maybe I would give him a few muscles. He looks so weak.

Thats why I love vault 81, it actually has fat people. The overseer herself isn't obese but looks like a realistic 40-50 something, with a natural figure instead of a bikini bod.

That's a very good point. I definitely took notice of that and thought it was interesting. Technically you can make your character overweight on both genders, but I have yet to see people do that.

Noted also. They definitely need to get out more. Note it had some skinny people in it also.

I had a character I called "https://i.imgur.com/T3MCMB3.jpg" who was designed to be imperfect. he wasn't obese... but slim or muscular, he was not.

My question is: why do you feel less reluctant to blow ugly chick's heads off? Don't you know beauty is on the inside and personality is the most important factor!? So shallow . . .

I dated a very goodlooking actor once. Well, I use the term "actor" loosely as he was just in the movie due to his muscular build and overall sixiness. Unfortunately, he lacked personality and it completely diminished his appeal because it was hard to engage him in conversation. In fact, I'm not sure we had one complete conversation about anything. So looks mean very little to me. Well except when it comes to Hancock...can't romance the character at all. So I guess this means that I couldn't date a real life guy with a ghoulish face.

My point was that from a game design perspective, it *makes sense* for the people in FO4 to be in good physical shape. They farm, run stores, fight, and, for provisioners, travel on foot all the time, it would be jarring to have an out-of-shape person.

I remember in Doom 3, we saw fat zombies, and that made sense because those were former humans who used to work on desk jobs all day.

In FO4, the person most likely to sit behind a desk for prolonged periods would be Piper, and she happens to have one of the biggest azzes in the game! So I don't mind out-of-shape people in the game if their presence makes sense.

There are a few overweight if not obese characters in the game. Plus some "bloated" ones.
