First-person feet.

When you're in first-person view, can you see your feet, or you're just another floating head with hands?

Na, as cool as it would be it would take alot of work, cause every armor would need to be modeled in 1st person view.

This was a big wish for me for Skyrim, actually. A big one.

But meh, I'll enjoy the heck out of it anyways! :)

You guys do realize that you would literally have to cut down the amount of armors you have, alot.

We would have less armors than in Oblivion, because they would have to model the armor from the 1st person view. It would be cool, but would take alot of work, and i would rather more armors. Maybe in the next Elder Scrolls.

Bethesda likes us to all walk around like Angry Crabs so we can see the weapons in first person all shiny. Personally I would prefer the head/camera pivot on the 3rd person animations like Arma2. No need to remodel or make new animations it is all there in the 3rd person.

Why they should model armor for too 1st person view if they added legs?

Only good reason i can understand them to not have feet in first person is that it takes too much time to animate legs and body to look good in first person. But they dont want to do it because they already have 3rd person view for people who likes to look at their feet.

Its not too much work and it wouldn't mean less armor in game. They just plain didn't do it. Hopefully for the next one, though.

I think that first person with feet could actually be modded in by using 3rd person animations and body -head...shouldnt be too hard..

Its been tried in Oblivion by three different groups. The main issue is the shifting camera during sitting/riding horse and sneaking, but its doable.

Kind of redundant to have the feet visible in 1st, when you can just use third person, no?

I like.

Except when he looks down at his feet, you can clearly see the camera go up above the head...

They probably figured for the money and time it would cost it wouldnt add much to the game. They have to watch things like that carefully.

Loup Sombre's mod had the most potential, but the new deadly reflex is the best implemented (least buggy).

Benefits besides cool factor are realistic shadows (with repercussions for AI detections and stealth possible), immersion, an actual hand to pick up objects with, more realistic collisions, better platforming ability, etc.

It honestly should not be left out these days.

I like it too. If that was in the vanilla game, I might play in 1P more often, instead of feeling like floating Mr, Handy head.
