I have a modest setup which runs everything just fine ^^

Windows 7 Pro x64
Intel Q9650 Quad core 3.00Ghz
Antec 1000W PSU
ATI Radeon HD 5870 1gb DDR5
8GB DDR2 Corsair
22" LG W2246S 1920 x 1080

@Marthian: Careful with your 550W PSU, mine was the same and it blew up whilst I was playing Sims 3 ^^ Anyone running a 1GB+ GPU and lots of other goodies shouldn't have anything less than a 750W PSU.

This might a bit overkill but hey:

AMD Phenom 970 (OC'd to 3.8Ghz)
8GB DDR3-1600 Corsair XMS
2x XFX 6950 (Modded to 6970s)
2x 64GB Microcenter SSD RAID-0 <---- Crysis is here
2x 640GB Caviar Black RAID-0
ASUS Xense sound card
1250W Sparkle Gold Series
Thermaltake Element V Chassis

Everything maxed out... I used RadeonPro to fix my flickering.... AA is on edge-detect so it does 6x normal AA, using Morphalogical AA as well.... 1920x1200

I'm in the middle of putting together a new rig that will include;
Intel i7 2600k overclocked
Gigabyte P67A-UD7-B3
Corsair Vengeance 4 x 4GB
LSI MegaRAID SATA/SAS 9240 8i Controller Card
OCZ Vertex LE 100GB x 2 RAID 0 OS
WD Black 1TB x 2 RAID 0 Gameage
other hard drives for "stuff"
EVGA GTX 480 SC x 2 overclocked
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro
Antec 1200W OC version PSU
Windows 7 Pro 64 bit
water cooling stuff
Acer GD235HZ 23" 3D ready
nvidia 3D kit
Logitech Z-5500

However I am playing Crysis 2 on high settings with my laptop which is a Toshiba Qosmio X505-896 and have had no issues whatsoever.

Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q9450 @ 2.66 GHz OC'd to 3.4 GHz
EVGA 790i Ultra SLI motherboard
4 GB DDR3 Patriot Viper Series EPP+ 2.0 memory @ 2000 MHz
(2) EVGA GTX 260 Core 216 in SLI configuration OC'd to 666/1404/2214
64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium
Samsung 2693HM 25.5" LCD @ 1920x1200 resolution
Sound Blaster X-fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro Series soundcard
Antec 750W PSU
Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard
Logitech G9 Laser Gaming Mouse
Steelseries World of Warcraft MMO Gaming Mouse

By the way, I'm still not able to max out the original Crysis with this rig as I still have to use system.cfg tweaks to turn down shadows a little to eliminate stuttering and maximize framerates.

This rig is complete overkill for Crysis 2. Being the **** console port that it is, I'm currently playing at Extreme graphic settings flawlessly because there is not even DX10 support. **** you, Crytek.

Intel dual 6500 @ 3.3 Ghz
4Gb DDR3
6850 Hd raedon

Runs smooth as butter, looking at some peoples spec's on the site, I wondering why you're not running it at higher levels if mine can.

I play it on a laptop

Acer Aspire

4GB DDR3
2x2Ghz
1GB Nvidia 9600m GT

It's not much of a rig but I must say that the game still looks ridiculously good on the lowest video settings, although I would love to try it out on maxed settings someday when I get a proper PC. ;-)
