the health for werewolves are bad they get killed easy.

Not if you're a warrior and invest in health. I was always good on health due to this. Lack of armor is bad, but you got to have a hit and run tactic going, and spam the knock down attack. Spectral werewolves helps alot too. Attracts attention and knocks enemies over while u claw them from behind.

If u give it a try, you'll c it is in fact doable. Hard, but once u work out the strategy, not that bad. Especially at high levels. I'm currently a level 81.

Werewolves are now a true powerhouse if you're a melee based character. Its a nice little dynamic how different types of characters play better with the two creature transformations.

As a mage, the added magicka for my Vampire Lord form makes me an absolute monster when fighting just about any enemy.

As a warrior, the high health I already have, plus my skills being factored in for damage creates an unstoppable werewolf form.

Sure, all character types do work for both, but you really only see that true majesty in you are a mage or warrior.

Of course, as the Vampire Lord, switching between melee and magick makes you a bit more viable than the werewolf. You can still be a close ranged titan if you're a warrior type character as a VL

I only have the first two damage perks and I can 1-shot most NPCs (level 41)
Can you do this on Master? never played a werewolf on master before...

the main problem which i wish they would have fixed is while turning into the werewolf at level 81 enemies just kill you even if you have high health, 3 vamps literally killed my lvl 81 warrior with 75% health 25% stamina build before i even got chance to come out of the change animation. Bethesda make us immune until your stupidly long roaring transformation is over please

Then you're just a bad player. Can't blame the game for Player error. I play on master, and can take down an entire town at level 81 with all perks with ease I just have to make sure I feed frequently.

its notthing to do with playing style im talking about the overly long transform animation that leaves you helpless against arrow fire from say the entire of whiterun guards meanwhile melee combat is happening to, i play on master and have no problem if i turn into a werewolf before combat but try it attack some guards without killing them get them all on you and transform on master difficulty, you will die. don't patronize playing style when my point has nothing to do with it

Transforming is a problem, for both werewolf and Vamps in my opinion. Wish they were invulnerable til transformation was done. I dont get killed by it though, and I usually try to find a high up place or something to transform. Battlecry helps too. I dont think that works on vamps though, but its not that big a deal.

Usually only on weak bandits using light ass armor, but single targets die in like five seconds from your barrage of claw hits. Especially after u knock 'em down.

dont get me wrong I'm happy with the power of both VL and Werewolf, I'd jsut like to not have to worry when transforming on master nothing better than been surrounded and busting out the hair, claws and fangs to eradicate everything id just like to keep my full health until after i transform! good call on the battle cry tho i always forget about it.

off topic i know but don't you think the Vamp seduction spell should be a lesser power (re-usable) like nighteye just simply cause if you miss...its like oh ...... well guess il just wait ha

question to the colonelkillabee : do you rate the howl of terror over the howl of the moon (werewolf summon) ?

also I found a glitch to level the werewolf perk tree really quickly without savage feeding or with to enhance even more!

i posted it just search in the spoilers for dawnguard thread

No you can't 1 shot everything on master. lv 45+ with the 4 damage perks would be 160 damage. Which on master would be 80. Its more than it sounds. Your power attack hits 3 times fast, and the enemy can't fight back when their ragdolled. There is no problem with offense at all. The problem is defense... Werewolves should have got a "resist normal weapons" effect or something. Like maybe halve all damage from non Silver weapons.

Also on a personal note I am greatly enjoying the ragdoll effect...I know it has always been there, but I never fully played a werewolf until now. Like a sabre cat lunged at me and I hit him while he was in the air with my moving power attack. That svcker flew out of the park.

For the totems, I found that the howl one in high levels is almost useless, even with the new perk. Unless you're fighting some weak bandits. Those summoned wolves are extremely useful, since they knock enemies down, and take aggro. I couldnt kill a dragon without them.

Sadly, ethereal just fades off when u transform.

But... there are two...
Oh really? well I still don't have the dlc so I didn't know. But are they really ghost-like or are they physical? I can just pretend the other is Vilkas, he still isn't cured.

They're spectral. I actually like that they are ghost-like. It looks better than my howl summoning two werewolves through a purple portal. Somehow, the way the howl already works makes more sense.

They should have added monthly forced transformations to make you feel more like a werewolf instead of a common shapeshifter but keeping the change at will aspect.

You could sort of emulate this by putting on the cursed ring of Hircine. That would turn you into a werewolf randomly wouldnt it?

Monthly transformation is not random, it supposed to coincide with the moons or something.
Why is everyone complaining about the transformation? that was done on purpose for balancing reasons, if you were unkillable while changing then you would not have any threats at all since you can easily kill then as a werewolf or vampire Lord.

If you just never finish the mission, sure. Do you keep the cursed ring, if you decide to skin the werewolf? I only chose that option once.

I dont care for monthly transformations, but getting hit while transforming is kind of annoying. Especially from targets with powerful long ranged attacks.

Fun? Definately.
Still a slight downgrade compared to your humanoid form? Yeah...kinda.

That is the idea...it is called balance, werewolves are deadly melee fighters and very fast as well strong and so they need weaknesses, transforming is one such vulnerability, lack of armor is the other and silver (at least in previous games) is as well.

You cant transform while they're close. You gotta do it with some distance. Try battle cry if you're a nord. Should work. Wont on vamps though at level 81, sadly.
