Can you do this on Master? never played a werewolf on master before...

Depends on the npc. Bandits and some forsworn, yes. Others may not get 1 hitted, but they die really fast. Especially if u knock 'em on their ass.

That is the idea...it is called balance, werewolves are deadly melee fighters and very fast as well strong and so they need weaknesses, transforming is one such vulnerability, lack of armor is the other and silver (at least in previous games) is as well.

I get why its like this, but I still dont like it. It wouldnt be unbalanced to take this out, but at the same time, I wont shed any tears, since it doesnt greatly effect me anyway. I only transform if I think I can without losing too much health while transforming, or if I have enough distance.

One thing to remember as a werewolf is to invest in alteration simply for the perks Three Ranks in Magic Resistance+Agent of Mara and the Lord Stone equals 70% magic resistance which should solve your mage problem.

Summon werewolves, gang, swipe. Dead. THAT solves my mage problem. Mages aint [censored], I dont need alteration.

Stacking potions, avoid death, mage armor, and alterations gives you a big defense. Plus when you fully upgrade the tree you can feed so much as to have to wait days to change back.

We have a challenge running around the wolf circle of becoming Master wolf in one game night on the Master difficulty without transforming back once.

Some of the guys over on Gamefaqs have been testing out the Werewolf Form, and have found out that it actually does have Damage Mitigation now. A Lvl 23 Werewolf seems to have 15% Damage Mitigation, a Lvl 37 Werewolf seems to have 35% Damage Mitigation, a Lvl 76 Werewolf seems to have 47% Damage Mitigation, and a Lvl 81 Werewolf presumably has 50% Damage Mitigation. Savage feeding is an amazing perk: go hunt rabbits and bears (and hagravens) instead of bandits/villagers to keep the timer going. Fear howl is expanded, but if you're at the higher (81) levels, it's pointless. Detect life being more like the spell instead of the shout is cool. I haven't summoned spectral werewolves yet.
It also allows you to get the rest of the perks a lot quicker
I got all 11 perks in 1 rampage...
It lasted for 1 1/2 hours

This explains a lot, like why arrows seem to be a lot weaker now.

I'm just going to hazard a guess that it probably capped out at level 45 or 50. Thats when claw damage caps out before perks, so I'm doubting the damage resistance goes all the way up to 81. Once the DLC is on the PC people will be able to pour over the files to see the change.
