Future DLC Suggestions (Not Dawnguard) [merged similar topic

I think THAT DLC was the most horrific fail, in the FO series. You can easily simulate that by stripping yourself of everything before entering every dungeon and make it out on what you find along the way.

Basically this.

Drop everything you own before going into Soul Cairn. ^^

I know how they feel now. But if the friggin Dragonborn himself were to go over there and start peacefully negotiating an ALLIANCE, NOT [censored] REJOINING THE EMPIRE, they would be very inclined to atleast listen, which is the whole point of the possible DLC I am suggesting.

Whoa.

I mentioned an Alliance as well in my posts, but I also gave reasons why IMO they wouldn't even entertain the idea.

Slow down on the caffeine. It's starting to affect you.

I mostly just clarified your thoughts.
i see that. thank you for giving a more detailed idea of the situation for the people that don't know a lot about the lore.

Ah! We are being attacked by the "Monsterous Merger"!

Yes, That would be a good example.

Here is the quest I was speaking of in relation to the previous thread about creating an area similar to the Dead Money (scenario) DLC in FONV. In that you start with nothing and should rely on wit to get through it. I was not comparing this quest to an actual DLC.

An Arena. 800 mp or $10. Would also include other side quests and some new armor and weapons.

^ This, I miss the arena... but not sure about price. If they were to do it, I want it longer and tougher than the Oblivion Arena with more weapons and armor. I would gladly pay $20 for content if it was the size of say Knights of the Nine or a little bigger... IMO

Took me a while to find this but this is a combined post from last month and two months ago that I typed up on another topic, just figured I share again anyway...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Last month)

I like the idea of an Agility Skill Tree, thumbs up to that idea. Bringing back unarmed and unarmored would be cool IMO.
I also like the idea of being able to attack while jumping/falling. Kind of miss being able to do that...

I would like to see more Armor, Weapons and Clothing. Like the Dragon Priests outfit it pretty badass IMO.
Also, it might be a stretch but I would like to customize the stuff I make; like color, or at least have a few more types of armors.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Two months ago)

From what I posted in a similar topic last month:

DLC or even updates I would like to see eventually (I would be happy with one) would be along the lines of:

Minor character post-creation customization (war paint, hair style/color, facial hair style/color)
Ability to add tattoos to arms, chest, and back
Thrown weapons, pole-arms, crossbows
Mounted combat from horseback (Player and NPC)
Perks for actions (like bonus damage for killing certain creatures or making better legendary armor and weapons)
House customization/Build a house or business (Buying land as well)
Making a family (Kids, pets, etc.)
Companion/Follower commands. Tell them to go off and do things for you and have them keep on wearing the armor you give them (Update)
Farming, not just having a garden or plants re-spawn every few days
Own a ship (Explorer, Merchant, Pirate)
Customize a "Coat of Arms", Flags or Tabard for your character, houses, businesses, horses, companions
Customization of Armor and Weapons, mods to make them better (Not just improving them in a grind stone or work bench)
Slow motion select targeting for attacks will kill cam (body, limbs, head for extra damage)
Ability to choose a "Profession", not just be an "adventurer" (Like join the city guard, be a miner, lumber jack or cook... etc)
Start a town and become Jarl
Bring back the Arena or something similar but make it longer and tougher than the one in Oblivion
Dialog update. Everyone needs to be a lot less repetitive and more dynamic. Like guards shouldn't know Im with the TG or DB...

My list goes on and on of what I would like to see but this last one is really going out on a limb but if it can be done, (Before I found out about ESO) I would like to see a minor MMO feature where you can join a friends world or have them join yours, maybe up to 4 friends at once? Not saying a full open world where anyone can jump in or stuff like that, invite only with friendly dual options/brawl... Just saying it might be cool.
----------------------------------------------------------
Update- 6-10-12, 1217a

Not 100% on the lore with the but what about the return of the Morag Tong in Skyrim? After all, Ravyn Imyan states the possibility of the Tong reforming some day... Could that day some some time soon with some DLC? Who knows but I think it would be cool to join them rather than the DB.

My idea would be an invasion from the other provinces into Skyrim. To defend itself the inhabitants of Skyrim's holds would need to ally themselves to counterattack providing many opportunities for treachery and treason as well as quests for treaties among the holds. Perhaps finding a still functioning Dwemer Civiization underground and utilizing their technology and weapons and breeding dragons to fight for Skyrim. Opportunities for raids and espionage quests in the invaders territories would abound. Call it: SKYRIM II.

The DLC I'd like to see would probably be something along the lines of Dragons more freakin different Dragons and more Dragon on Dragon assaults. I want to find a random Dragon mound with several different colored football sized eggs and as soon as you pick up the egg of your choice Momma Ancient Dragon comes crashing to the ground followed abrupdly by Daddy Ancient and maybe even a couple adolesents. Just eneough to make it impossible to snatch more than one befor being forced to get the hell out of dodge. Then after escapeing certain doom find knowledge of an ancient ritual, while sippin' on a bottle of some Black-Brier Mead at a random tavern, in which the egg is blessed with the soul of an old and powerful lond dead dragon down in the depths of the earth where lava flows. Then after your dragon hatches and begins to grow it will start out bat size as a permenent follower and awsome asset but it will only grow to a certain size until you take it to the top of a certain summit high in the northern most part of Skyrim or even maby all the way to the northern pole and preform the ice ritual so that your dragon now knows how too brathe frost and also can continue to grow and so on and so forth. Then after all that, it becomes a full blown epic mount that also follows you around to watch your back unless you dismiss him away then later it can be called back with the use of the "Call Epic Mount" Shout. Maybe even throw in a castle to customize and make it possible to craft armor and saddles and such for your dragon. Also would like to see spears and giant crossbows mounted to turrets on the tops of city walls that shoot spears. Thats what i would like to see in future DLC.

you do understand that, that is not a very lore friendlly idea right?
for a whole manner of reasons.
1)morrowind is in turmoil thanks to the argonians
2)the argonians are to busy enjoying their freedom
3)hammerfell is having some political and military problems after saying F you to the dominion and kicking them out. same thing they did to the imperials.
4)any of the dominions provinces cannot declare war on skyrim or the empire because that would violate the white gold concordant and cause the great war V2

I can't wait to see what Skyrim's Shivering Isles is going to be

By that, I don't mean a Daedric DLC, I mean Skyrim's epic swan song expansion

I'm afraid Solstheim looks too similar to Skyrim. Plus we've already been there. I think it would be best if DLC's had different looking locations: Daedric realms, or some exotic locations. I would love to see some warmer locations for a change. Just played the Moonpath to Elsweyr mod and I was surprised how good the jungle/desert/tropical areas can look in Skyrim engine.
Someone actually WANTS them in a game? :o
Think of takin on a cliffracer with the new way archery is implemented.
You're going for a nice stroll, taking out deer with your bow, all of a sudden you hear an unearthly scream above you. You whip around, bow in hand and take aim at a flock of cliffracers, with a flurry of arrows you take them down one by one. The last shot goes into an arrow cam, as you follow the arrow between branches high in a tree to strike the final cliffracer dead center.
Spoiler
or you follow the arrow as it flies true, misse the damned creature, and embeds itself in a tree, stuck in the cinematic, you watch yourself get mauled and fall to the ground, dead.

My DLC hopes--

Big: Forsworn related. Take back the Reach! Ally yourself with the biggest loonies in the game OR finally wipe out the madmen and hagravens for good.

Small: Something to do with the Hall of the Vigilant. Perhaps quests for the Eight *cough*Nine*cough* Divines or their priests and priestesses combating daedric shenanigans.

As long as weget to see past those gates at the border I'm finewith evrything. In the past pages I threw a few ideas well knowing that I'm probably won't see what I'm expecting. For the good (and the bad) I've come to understand that Bethesda will always find a way to suprise me.

Someone's probably already mentioned it buttttt... a DLC I'd like to see would involve taking a trip down into Cyrodii. Especially to see how Bruma's faired the time between Skyrim and Oblivion.

I have no idea what reason you'd have to take the journey though, unless you go to the Imperial City for the Arena? If the Arena is still there.

To be honest, I'd be happy with any DLC which allowed me to visit one of the other countries.

An expedition to Atmora would be sort of cool. Maybe with some mages who are trying to find out why nobody lives there any more? I might not be all up to speed on the lore behind that.

And finally: Anything about the Dwemer is cool in my book. It would be cool for my more nerdy, scholarly characters.

Could have sworn I posted in this thread. Ah well, as usual, do moonsugar, go to the moons with the space Khajiit, find the cause of the void night and do some oddweird adventuring Llesweyr style,
or
reclaim Orsinium, Skyrim has given us some Orsimer-love with the strongholds, a little more wouldn't hurt, and it's an excuse to see the Ashpit as well,
or
Bards, bards, bards. Could even revive the Scenarists for some inter-faction rivalry.

i think it would be much more interesting to have a DLC that has quests that dealt with two sides of dragons that have different objectives and that conflict, such as one wants to destroy humans and one wishes to establish a home on the apparently harsh isle of Vardenfell. that would be awesome, especially if the dragons didn't disintegrate there, the disintegration thing is really annoying.

You mean like the remnants of Alduin''s Dragons vs. the Dragons who follow Paarthurnax's Way of the Voice?

I could see that happening. The Lore would probably call it the Great Dragon War.

I want Nord long boats and sea mosters! I want to sail around the sea in a viking long boat and trade cargo, when not using your boat it could be kept at the docks of Dawnstar, Solitude, or Windhelm.

I definitaly want some quest line under water. But if they ever bring dragonride in the game, they should make floating Dwarvin castle or something in the sky.
