Future DLC Suggestions (Not Dawnguard) [merged similar topic

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 9:11 am

you do understand that, that is not a very lore friendlly idea right?
for a whole manner of reasons.
1)morrowind is in turmoil thanks to the argonians
2)the argonians are to busy enjoying their freedom
3)hammerfell is having some political and military problems after saying F you to the dominion and kicking them out. same thing they did to the imperials.
4)any of the dominions provinces cannot declare war on skyrim or the empire because that would violate the white gold concordant and cause the great war V2

Huh? You can reconcile any story by...more story. An unintended patrol across a border can be construed by the offended hold as an incursion and following the patrol into the offending province encounter supporting troops which escalates and so on...kidnappings, massacres, stolen relics, occupation; hundreds of quests...25% of Skyrim players could probably write for this game. Ask for assistance from your neighbors when encountering setbacks...more escalation. Freedom? You are only one generation from losing it regardless of the place or era.

My original premise suggests a GREAT WAR (most wars ARE undeclared)...does it not?! (Warzones +)

I hope not. The world loses a lot of scale and scope when you can ride from one half to the other on the back of a dragon. I hope they continue to enhance the AI and tactics of the dragons though. Maybe a tail swing that hits you like a fully charged Fus Ro Dah and increasing the number of shouts dragons have access to.

Here is just a small idea that has been in my mind for a while now.
How about dlc or a story line that added more flesh to orcs? I have no idea if this already exists in some form, but it could have some fairly sweet features:
Say there was an orc leader who had no son to replace him, the player; after becoming integrated with the group, could challenge the orc. And then take leadership.
They could then expand and develop the tribe, forming a stronge base aswell as an army.
There could also be added back story, where they come from, old heroes and their stories which could lead to quests.
Any thoughts or suggestions? :D

As far as quest stuff- the snow prince thing that's attached to patch 1.5 is pretty intriguing. I'm a svcker for lore and two of my fan books are from Solthiem: Snow Prince and Aevar Stone-singer.

Armor and weapons: would love to see some Stalrim ice armor and weapons plus bring back Goldbrand and Umbra (TES must haves) and shadowrend and the daedric creasent.

That's my two cents.

There is already a thread open on DLC discussion. A moderator will probably come along and direct you to it any time now...

I'd really want to see other silver weapons(at least silver arrows and bolts) added to the game, not only Silver Hand Guys, but also regular drop and respawn lists. It'd give some challenge to the were-beasts/vampire players.

New shouts/roars and spells, random new-effect enchanced items and overall enchanting redux(>>more effects<<)

POLEARMS skill tree(included: Spear - 1h, Halberd -2h)

Werebears....

Snow Elves(not Falmers) Race Reintroduced(maybe they will rebuild the Winterhold? or...settle down in Saarthall(pretty ironic:d)

unarmed/unarmored skill trees merged - creating the Monkery (Moth) Skill tree(Warrior(combat), Mage(no armor, meditation spell) and Thief(water jumping?:D) hybrid...anyway an interesting idea

many other.

I would like to see some more work on becoming the guildmaster of anything. I would love to hire alot more murderers and name speakers and silencers for my black hand along with some more detailed work on the after guild quests like making it feel like the "main" quests in the game rather than it be seen as just something to do after your done with the guild.

I know there will be granting you castles in dawnguard but I would love to see this stronghold idea take effect: For starters, you would start off by getting a lumber industry to create a clearing for your stronghold and to provide necessary lumber resources to help reinforce your outer walls, to build wooden watchtowers, and wooden furniture. Next, you would have to establish the closest mine to the clearing of your stronghold and start looking for miners to mine stone for your strongholds outer walls and inner structures. After that, your stronghold will need militia and mercs so next quest tells you to go to the companions or thieves guild to hire mercenary's/thugs to help guard your stronghold. For militia, you would have to look for a ex-blacksmith and pay for a blacksmith workshop to create weapons for your townspeople and to sell weapons for your earliest convenience. Then, your stronghold will need to establish trade with other cities so you would have to pay for a trade shop and commute a worthy economy income for you and your workers at your stronghold. After that, its just the process of building up your mansion in the heart of your beloved stronghold with all the resources you acquired. Visit the trade shop for furnishes and then you have your stronghold!

You have a working mill, several worker houses, a stone mine, blacksmith, bodyguards, a trade shop, and most of all...your precious mansion!! Also you would have a decent population with plenty of action going on so hardly any room for boredom in your stronghold. I think this would be a most fabulous idea to implement in Skyrim for those who want a stronghold in the game.

I would like to see some better dialogue choices kind of like dragon age where you choose a negative response (not just saying "no" to someone pleading for help but maybe stir the pot a lil. Make them want to get back at you or have their adversaries contact you.) Of course, positive effects are decent right now.

I think it would be cool to actually see your character speak. Like, choose a voice for your character to roleplay with maybe like 7 voices for each race to work with. Of course, this only works in dialogue and not in combat.

Also, my number one want that I will still remain hopeful too till death do me part...mods!! Can't give up on bringing mods to the 360. I still think its a big opportunity that microsoft and Sony are missing. So much good things can happen with bringing mods to 360! :)

Here's an idea:

Visit the Atronach realms that form in the part of Oblivion near the Sun-hole.

They are working on later dlc right now. This is how the game cycle works.

Yep.

A little over 5 minutes in he talks about how this isn't the only dlc they're working on and that they are not all going to be 20 dollars.

An expansion marketed as such should be around 30$, let's hope cheaper doesn't mean too much shorter!

It seems likely that some dlc might have something to do with Solstheim and the Snow Prince. (From many other speculations.) Which sounds awesome. Falmer are all around Skyrim, so it'd be a little weird to just leave it at that.

I know what I'd like to see: Something with the Forsworn.

Solstheim would be all too similar to Winterhold: a bland frozen wasteland. Even with Dawnguard (Soul carin) Bethesda is targeting at some diversification. If we could cross the borders to go to Hammerfell (bordering the Rift and the Falkreath area) I think we could see a slightly different landscape and still reconcile with a story involving the Forsworn. Same for the Falmer... considering their story with the Dwemer and such, a short trip to mainland Morrowind would allow us to see slightly different environment while we pursue everyone's favorite twisted evil race. :)

The way I see things, tamriel is falling apart. The empire Is basically the roman empire, right down to the armour. And we all know what happened to the roman empire. The argonians are gaining confidence and with it, power. The dunmer are all but useless thanks to the eruption at red mountain. The aldmeri dominion are power hungry racists who look down on humankind. Maybe we could see some dlc's that witness the collapse of the empire and the aldmeri dominion and by the time of the next gen consoles and tes6 we could have a full on war for tamriel between lots of different factions and you get to choose one. And since it's on the next gen consoles we could have real battles with more than 5 people shooting each other with arrows. And maybe even an appearance from the akaviri. Maybe im asking a little bit much but i think of we could have even half of this it would be awesome!

I would love it if Bethesda had two more DLCs in the course of Skyrim's life time. I've compiled somewhat of a list of what I would like to see in terms of plot and implementations.

Second Major DLC - This DLC would be released sometime around Holiday 2012. It would be the Werewolf equivalent of Dawnguard, taking the Dragonborn to the Daedric Realm of Hircine's hunting grounds. This DLC would feature spears and flails, along with new perks for Werewolves. This DLC would be heavily catered for melee and stealth characters. In addition, it would feature a new map with new dungeons, quests, etc.

Third Major DLC - This DLC would be released during the Summer/Fall of 2013. It would be the largest DLC, in comparable size to Shivering Isles. This DLC would also be similar to the Broken Steel DLC from FO:3 in that it would expand the Main Quest and Civil War past their endings. In this DLC we would feature the defeat of the Thalmor, their annihilation would occur inbetween the events of Skyrim and the time setting for the next TES, and we would be given closure within the books of TES:VI. It would be great if this DLC was catered towards magic users, adding a plethora of new spells (similar to the Midas Magic mod on Nexus), and a patch that would balance magic, but that patch should really arrive a lot sooner.

What are your thoughts and personal wishes for the next DLC(s)?

I second the Broken Steel style idea. The Thalmor have a huge role in Tamriel at the time but they practically have no plot in the gameply of Skyrim other than a quest or two in the main story line and a nord one. The first idea though sounds a lot like a rerelease of the Bloodmoon DLC that was for Morrowind. That was by far my favorite, and it actually seems to be the basis of the idea of Skyrim. (Nords defending their land, draugrs, icey wasteland) - That sort of thing

Does anyone want to see a DLC based around necromancers?

Also, are necromancers capable of making themselves immortal? (I know vampires are capable of immortality, but I'm not a huge fan of them anymore because they've become overpowered and overrated).

Usually Necro's become Liches... It would be cool to see a DLC that in the end gives you the choice to become all Skeletor looking

I would love to see something like that. Playing as a necromancer is pretty fun but it could use some more abilities aside from raise zombie. It could result in bethesda working in more detail on conjuration. :)
