Future DLC Suggestions (Not Dawnguard) - Thread #5

Personal carriages, and boats for transportation. Businesses for purchase, can choose location for wedding like the different temples. Rebuild helgen and build it. Something to do with Hircines hunt again.

1. Battle Giants: Intelligent warrior giants in ebony armor with companion Armored Mammoths. High Level Enemy with the ability to dragon shout.

2. Mounted Foes. Raiders on horseback or a new type Drauger riding on the backs of undead steeds.

3. New designs for Beast Races and current armor. Example: Ebony Helmets that work for Kajiitt and Argonians. That tiny little helmet has gotta hurt the snout.

4. New Towns and New Cities to explore.

5. A ability to forge weapons and spell books into new weapons akin to the Dawnguard Rune Hammer.

6. The ability to convert spells into Dragon Shouts.

7. Boots of the divine steed. I don't care what you name it, but a new enchantment that allows the player to run up a mountain like a horse.

8. Were-Bear

9. Spears.

10. A enchanting table over by the smelter in White Run. I hate having to run up to that uppity wizard in the keep all the time.

Give giants the ability to shout?

I agree with everyones spear idea. Does anyone remember the quest with the Falmer character that called himself a "Snow Elf"? I think they could base a DLC of off the existence of the Falmer becoming more.. intelligent and dangerous.

Playable Instruments would be nice. And maybe holding the books in your hands. FISHING POLES. CROSSBOWS FOR EVERYTHING UP TO DRAGON. Custom houses. Ride Odaviing. PIRATES. Maybe a toilet. SPEARS. Revert from a werewolf manually. Become a Guard. AND HOW ABOUT A CLASSIC SAVE THE PRINCESS STORYLINE.

I AGREE! How about a little of saving Elisif? The pretty little soon to be queen of Skyrim. Sound good? I think so. I also think the marriages could use some work.. you can't marry 90% of the good looking females in the game and even once you do, there's not much of a reason to have gotten married. I think it would be awesome if you could have children. The child could reach a certain age and begin to follow you on your adventures and battles. Anyone else agree?

I don't reall'y agree with Ebony armor, but something more made of leather, and bones. Also inless, the Giants grow some brains, I don't thinky they'll be able to shout.

I want the makers of Skyrim to continue developing me as the HERO AS THE DARGON-BORN!!! Let us quest for our own DRAGON-BORN castle and let us pick who we want to join the Dragon born knights.......... Let us see if the power will corrupt us or make us the the greatest King or Queen that Skyrim has ever seen. Make the Dragon born castle be large enough for our friendly 2 dragons to come and call it home so we can converse with them as our friends. Let us Quest for special armor that allows us to ride our personal dragon. Let us fight from the backs of our dragons too. This whole game is about Dragons and hero's so SKYRIM get back to it, you are loosing what you were all about in the first place!!!!

I'd like a DLC centred on the blue / grey skinned elven races of Tamriel.

It could introduce a section of Morrowind (or Solstheim) to the west and the city of Orsinium to the south. It could also have a Falmer quest.

items included could be a couple Dunmer armors (we already have enough Orcish & Falmer armor) along with the Nord mail from Solstheim and maybe an Argonian armor type & an Imperial Adamantium light armor.

i hope to see zombies in the next dlc or maybe after that. the whole werewolves vs. vampires thing has gotten old. why not add zombies in skyrim not as a playable transformation but as enemies. say all of skyrim is plunged into choas by zombie hords and you must travel to a far away place to learn a shout that can cure or defeat these zombies. it would be epic.

Actualy if im correct Zombies are in Skyrim. This would fit with a Necromacer Clan, but I don't want more Vampire, Werewolves, or other creatures like that. I want more Daedra

Necromancy has been touched on in Dawnguard but not to the extent which I wanted. So I kind of hope they will come out with a little more for the Necromancers, but not at the cost of a DLC about the Thalmor.

I have a level 51 Redguard Brute, meaning heavy armor and warhammer. But that's besides my point. Through out playing Skyrim I've had a fascination with the Dwemer people and after the most recent DLC I've noticed there are new mats to make new things such as needing wood to make arrows where as before you never needed wood besides for a quick few coins. We also have Chaurus Chitin that can be used to improve Falmer armor. So this got me thinking, we have a ton of useless stuff we gain from killing Dwemer robots so why not have us be able to build usable Dwemer items. What we build doesn't all have to be robots to help us in battle but other things such as a rideable mount that doesn't head back to the nearest town on us and can hold gear for us--besides this I think regular horse should be able to have us create a backpack for them that can hold like 200 lbs or something so even they can help us carry things--because I'm a large pack rat and I horde things like no other.

So robots, rideable mounts and many other things for us to use from the useless loot that we gain from the Dwemer's engineering creations.

But that's only part of the DLC I'd like to see. I'd like to see a large Dwemer city, occupied or not by the Dwemer and where we can find blueprints for creating Dwemer machinery. And maybe even a new hidden skill tree that the Dwemer knew of that helped them with their engineering.

That's basically my idea, in a way it's a scientific way of magic so we can build a flamethrower instead of magic and the sort. I'd think this would be cool and so I hope this somehow influences the next DLC or the next one after because I'm sure work has already began for the second DLC.

I see only two real options:

One is that we explore one of the formerly conquered Akaviri Island — because Akavir that's why — and have to deal with the natives, both as enemies and factions.

OR

We go into a proper Daedric realm, preferably Sanguine's because that would be incredibly entertaining.

And whichever happens there will be spears. And more than 4 of them.

I've previously said this before, I highly doubt places like Elsywere Blackmarch, ( other places in Tamriel we haven't been to), and Akavir will be in DLC.
Why? There is so mutch content in these places not suitable for DLC, but for a game itself. I wouldn't want to see Akavir in a DLC, and won't see it as a game till 12 years later.
I think well have more Dragon, Daedra, and Thalmor Content then anything, but the Vamire Lord for dawnguard was a huge suprise I didn't ex[ect this to ever get in the full game, so you never know.

Completely agree with the Akavir idea. Should be made into a game, but it is more likely you'll go there in the MMORPG in the works. They just need to fix the continuity errors on whether the Akavir are/have been human or beast folk (Tsaeci, etc.)

Expect more Daedra and Dragon based content for sure; its what the series as we know it is based on (at least the conflict between Aedra and Daedra vs. Man and Mer)

Expanding on current provinces like Elsweyr or Hammerfell require Beths to go back and re-construct parts of Daggerfall and Arena in Skyrim graphics so hardcoe lore players won't crap their pants when they realize a street is missing or a key landmark is gone. If anything, they should expand on the calendar and holidays aspect of the game. Lots of interesting random events could ensue.

I have to say, riding a dragon doesn't fly too well with me, if you'll pardon the pun. Flying mounts would ruin the main aspect of exploration in the game for me. It's bad enough they implemented carriages. Fast travel I can understand, but half the fun of a TES game is stumbling across an ancient ruin or run-down city. Carriages take out the fun of finding waypoints.

Spears are an excellent idea. As is underwater combat, mainly because slaughterfish need to die a horrible, painful death. I'm starting to consider them as bad as cliff racers. Thank St. Jiub. Spears seem the next logical step in the progress of weapons in Skyrim. The mechanics could be similar to the staff animations, with a bit more oomph. Add the fact you could smith them from the same materials as Arrows for the basic spear to the advanced materials used in high level weapons. A daedric spear would look amazing on my Khajiit.

----------------

I really just want better housing and better followers. Maybe more diverse magicks too. I would love to have spells like Levitate, Passwall and skills like Acrobatics again. Being a mage is super boring unless you can summon Daedra.

s5134195, don't forget that the island its self is subject to the will of the Psijic monks so it could be constantly changing. From different seasons to completely different geography.

I'd really like something swampy and dark, but colorful at the same time. Like Shivering Isles, which I just loved. Failing that, I think something involving the Psijic order that had some fun things for mages would be fun.

Open those border gates and let me peek into other provinces... That big gate in Riften closed with wooden boards, the road behind it screams "I want to go there!"

1.) Thalmor War. Questline that finalises War with the Thalmor, ending in a massive battle.

2.) Rebuild Winterhold. Questline that deals with you resolving the animosity toward mages in Tamriel (Skyrim focus in this case) ending with you rebuilding the town of Winterhold. The Jarl & college can supply a certain amount for a base build/repair, but you can add your own funds to improve everything.

I'd like to see spears added, but I'd absolutely love to see the ability to THROW the spears as well. I don't think it'd be that difficult to implement if they add spears in the first place. You could activate the wind-up the same way one activates the zoom feature with archery.

As I've said before, I think there should be polearms of some sort, as well as staff crafting and enchanting.

I'd also like to see something a bit more... in-depth with the Shout feature. The meditation with Paarthurnax was a nice touch, but I feel like Bethesda could go further. Possibly a perk tree for shouting and powers.

Finally, I would like to see the addition of at least one playable race. Bethesda has been using the same 10 races for quite some time; perhaps they could add the Dremora as a new race?

1. Finishing the war with the Thalmor and receiving Goldbrand as a reward

2. Spears

3. Sets of armor and weapons themed around Redguard, Dunmer, Bosmer, Argonians and Khajiit

4. Flails

5. 'Disposable' followers. Meaning the ability to hire up to 2 unnamed mercenaries, who are roughly the same strength as the hold guards. And it doesn't matter if they are killed because another one can be hired to replace the last one. Similar to the armored trolls.

6. Mounted enemies

7. The ability to make followers ride horses

8. Dremora lord thrall spell

9. Boots which improve sprint speed

10. The ability to jump whilst sprinting

11. Maybe a DLC themed around being captured by slavers from Morrowind

12. The giant mud crab

13. A 'hardcoe mode' like Fallout New Vegas where you have to eat, drink, sleep, etc.

14. Some kind of tournament or gladiator arena

15. Unarmed skill tree

16. New housing with better places to display things

^ This. I know Skyrim is the land of the Nords, but foreign cultures always are present. I want to see that Hist armor that the Argonians can make, the Bosmer actually making the best bows, at least an armored version of the Hammerfell Garb, Khajiit's claws could be made into a weapon and not just default fists etc. More variety, in weapons and armor

On this topic, I've always wondered why Dwarven weapons are stronger than Orcish, but the armor is weaker. I mean, that always bugged me, because Orcish armor looks a LOT less effective than Dwarven does, and that's the only time when the better type of armor looks less effective. I mean, why make Dwarven weapons stronger, but armor weaker? It should be both stronger, or at least the other way around, since Orcs are thought of as strong warriors with top-grade weaponry.

Also, I think it would be cool if they added unique crossbows.
