Glitches caused by the 1.2

So glad that I unplugged my Xbox last night. I'm gonna bang out the rest of the achievements and then sell my copy. Ill pick it up again in a year or so on the PC.

What's wrong with the menus?

@Tallbill yer that sounds like a good idea. I have the PC version just waiting on my computer to finish getting upgraded/fixed so i can install it on there. Then i'll have to download the user created patches because it'll prob take beth way too long to patch it themselves. And the user ones wll prob be better than than the beth ones, so was the case with oblivion. Though i must admit, in its horribly glitchy and broken state, i am enjoying skyrim much more than i ever did oblivion. It will be good when this game finally works properly.

I haven't experienced any issue with the new patch, not even the resistance glitch, but my game has been crashing alot more, and frankly, that svcks.

The only problem I've noticed so far is that I absorbed a dragon soul while I was fighting the dragon which still had about half his health left. Then after I killed it I walked through it while it was disintegrating and I absorbed another soul.

Glitch summary: two souls absorbed from one dragon, one before death one after death (of dragon).

Backwards flying dragons I can live with. Not being able to kill them is very annoying.
Will try to revert back to 1.1 using a USB stick, but not looking forward to losing 10 hours of saves...

Well, I've put about 5 hours into the new patch and haven't yet had a bug. I consider myself lucky. I've encountered two random dragons, neither of which were flying backwards and I was able to kill them and absorb their souls with no problems. Then I continued with the main quest and successfully completed a quest that involved a scripted, non-random dragon battle. I then went to my home in Solitude and found my bookshelves and weapon racks exactly how they should be. I'm not sure about the resistance issues, because I play a heavy armor/combat character and don't rely on magical resistances.

Like I said, I consider myself lucky and I have my fingers crossed that I won't encounter any of these experience-breaking bugs before 1.3 comes out. But I thought I should add a positive voice to the conversation. After 50 hours on my character, I can imagine how awful it would be to run into a game-breaking bug, whether it was introduced by 1.2 or not. Good luck, everyone. And wish me luck, too.

Yes, this has been detailed many times. Go here: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1298293-want-patch-11-back-this-might-work/

I should have listened... All over the xbox forums were tons of posts saying DO NOT get the patch.

2 hours ago I did.

That's my game now when I exited the cave I was in.

Apparently 1.2 made my horse Frost disappear, I'd have to go all the way back through a bunch of saves to get one to where he loads. It's be nice if Frost would reappear at a spot so I could get him back again. It's really stupid to have something one day and then not the next because some imbecile at Bethesda made a [censored] patch.

I have Frost as well, and have had no problems finding him. I'm not sure where he defaults to. Did you try looking at the Black Briar Lodge? I'm not convinced that this is necessarily a result of 1.2.

I think the weapons rack/wall plaque bug has been reported before the patch.

Not in all houses, as far as I know. Now it's a glitch that can happen, and has happend, in all houses.
I can also report bookshelves being bugged.

I have to say that it's one thing to release such a small update when the game has been in such a state as it has, but releasing an untested patch like this is just unacceptable. At this point I have no choice other than to not play the game until this is fixed, which may take a very long while, simply because I do not want anymore of my saves to be corrupted.

Since the patch 1.2, dragon skeleton in whiterun still bounces around everytime I enter. Dragons are stationary in the sky. I shot a stationary dragon and it glitcjed into amountain and followed me under the ground so I could not fast travel. Reloaded a preveous save and same problems. If you can play with out patch dont load it.play off line if.you can...

I write for a small gaming publication and we've been covering issues that were spotted on the PS3 prior to the patch, but now we are going to try to address the issues caused by patch 1.2 on Xbox 360 specifically the Resistance gear. My character relies heavily on this so I'm testing it now, seems to be that the gear isn't working and I have both rings and boots with fire/frost and shock/frost resist all at 37% or higher. It might be that if you are wearing too much that it will offset each other but I don't believe I ever had that issue before so right now i'm going through all old videos we shot to see if I can find a dragon fight where my gear was working properly and compare that to the game post patch 1.2. I'll jump back on with a link to the vid as soon as i finish researching everything. I have experienced more framerate drops and dragons flying backwards than I experienced prior to the patch; however the menu lag or freezing has been happening since day one which needs to be fixed.

Delvin Mallory wont accept the Bust of the Gray Fox or the Falmer Eye (left or right, whichever is the quest item, i've tried both).

In case it helps:

I'm level 60 argonian, with almost 2,000 saves on my file (in case that matters). I own houses in Whiterun, Riften, Windhelm, and Solutude. I've completed the thieves guild quests, the dark brotherhood quests, I lead the Companions (and am a werewolf) and i have helped the stormcloaks drive out the empire from solitude... I have completed 11 of the Daedra shrine quests, and I am about to attempt to get the Totems of Hircine quest done... last time i tried, i was locked out of jorvask and all underforge doors/companions doors said "requires key". I will update this post for more bugs. Really breaks immersion though. I bought this game JUST to see the Daedric Princes and Re-join my lost Dark Brothers from Cyrodil, so as long as I can get all the daedra princes appeased bug-free i dont care about the rest of it as much.

Though it makes me wonder, can I apply as a volunteer beta tester some day.. you guys seem to have this problema lot. That aint me angry or making fun- just a matter of fact. When you got thousands of actors, hundreds of caves/dungeons, thousands of quetss, and then throw the human element in there.. you never know what a player might be driven to try out.. and thus we have unfornseen bugs... I haven't seen this enxt one anywhere, so I'll post it here:

On Xbox 360, there is a quest involving the Strange Amulet (i THINK the quest is called Blood on the Ice?). You can take the amulet to the strange man who runs the den of strange things in windhelm. He appraises it for you and offers you 500 septims for it... do it, and THEN pick his pocket to get it back... now.. I have NO programming skill, but.. it's behaving as if the event flag that causes the NPC to respond to you having this amulet on your person (and the dialogue options to sell it to him) aren't changed.

I tested it and was able to accumulate 30,000 septims before i got bored of it. You might wanna fix that.. I don't "need" to abuse a gold bug, as I can carry over 700 pounds thanks to the Steed stone and all my stamina lol... i end up hauling back about $6,000 worth of gear to sell each dungeon/quest xD
