Got a date, now I need a little pony...

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 10:30 pm

Go to your/her house and watch a film and cook up a dinner or something?
Play a few games, let her win one as a warm up. Just relax
Do not get over-competitive if you do this. If she is genuinely kicking your butt too. Do not get mad lol.

Course don't play like you're trying to become MVP on an actual match, just enjoy it - use techniques you don't normally use so it attempts to level the playing field.
Like when I play gun games with girls I usually use a shotgun and a pistol but don't fire until I'm up in there face, it always makes them jump and laugh about it, it creates a nice atmosphere.

What is she into? Does she like games? Cooking? Reading etc?

Might give us ideas for 'original' dates if we know a wee bit more about her. :)

I go with make her dinner. Good chance of getting some fun if you do that. Have a bottle of pink champagne lying around and tell her it's to celebrate something or other she's done. Her pants will pretty much remove themselves. Remember to wear some six Panther: 60% of the time, it works every time.

Along with this...end the night in your bedroom? ;)

I used to take a girl horseback riding. It was pretty cool, we went a few times and the best part about it was the first time I had taken her I had never been on a horse so it was an experience. If you have a place to go horseback riding try that.

Tattoo skulls all over your body, slide on a Cthulu mask, and dance around her naked with a spear in your hands while several birds behind her whisper, "Pretty bird ctlhlthltlhthlth". Chicks love tentacles.

Nah, just ask "Is sometime today good, or would another day be good this week?" As someone said, the taking out to dinner thing is cliche for a reason. Just act like really really really close friends... with benefits.

Break out your Magic: The Gathering cards and design a deck with her. Then allow her to beat you to show your gentle side.

^lol. Or demolish her to show that she needs you lol... (that wouldnt work, dont do that)
Play Skyrim!
I raise your skyrim, with a Call of Duty. If she stays with you after that, then your stuck with her for life. The Ultimate Test!!!
On a more serious note, I really dont understand how people can ask for advice about this kind of stuff, considering us, the forum, have no idea what she or you likes, or anything about your situations.

My opinion would be dinner and movie. Its done so often, probably because it works so often

sf x tekken

I... don't quite get it.

I know she has a PS3 (or maybe her and her sister share it), but the only game that I think that she's ever mentioned was one of the CoD games (Nazi zombies?). She likes music, dancing, (eating) food, coffee, socialising, animals (dogs primarily), shopping, drinking, girlie stuff, working out, and other stuff.

Don't have any Magic: The Gathering cards, but I do have a couple decks of tarot cards..... *thinking*

Well, I'll be honest, I'm pretty much {expletived}-up in the head and have next to no idea of what I'm doing. Who do I have to turn to for advice, that I would feel comfortable asking? Not much of anyone. Oh, except for her, but I don't want to seem like a complete moron so that's out of the question. Besides, I think she wants me to take charge of the situation, which I will. :stare:
So I figure that this is as good as a place as any to get free advice. :P No really, some people around here give good advice.

I think that dinner will at least be part of it, but I want to do something other than a movie.

The girl I used to take horseback riding we used to go out for dinner afterwards. It was a lot of fun. I honestly feel this is by far the best idea here. Its unique in that I guarantee you that no one has taken this girl to a place that allows you to ride a horse. If she like animals, she'll enjoy this.

I win.

Don't go to a movie, too quiet and unsocial, terrible environment for a first date. Paintballing, Laser Tag, various sports such as boating/cycling/anything active and fun will mean she knows you can be yourself and relax and have fun around her since its not formal, you could probably follow this up with a casual meal and save the romantic stuff for later. Just let her know you can be comfortable around her and it wont be awkward and forced.

Ride a bus/train into another part of town, eat at a cafe, take a walk downtown, and drop her back home. Gives you ample opportunity to talk, which is the main thing.

You're going to GUARANTEE him he'll be the first person to take her somewhere she can ride a horse? That's a pretty lofty claim.

Any form of horseback riding is epic and is one of the pinnacles of feeling good, so I'll second this.

Watch all three Lord of the Rings movies with her.

Don't forget, if she is rude and begins talking give her a slap on the wrist.

After this grab your BlueRay, 6-disk set of Star Wars: The Complete Trilogy. Commence putting on your Jedi robe and grab your blue Lightsabre.

If she isn't gone after this, you know that you need to get rid of her because she is a complete and utter nerd.

Ice skating is lame imo. I wouldn't take a bird ice skating, it's pretty dull. I am honestly as bad as you OP. I've only been on one date and we went to a historic castle town in Greece and walked to the old abandoned fort and looked in the shops. It was really nice and very natural. Are there any ancient greek forts in Kansas?

There's a few english castles. Maybe a mayan temple also.

I'd honestly just take her to dinner and go on a walk and see what happens from there.

While you're at it, why not throw in some Stark Trek too? Approximately 5 minutes of that is enough to make me become a temporary schizophrenic.

I'd say dinner sans le Movie is a good plan. I agree that a movie might be a little antisocial for for a first date. Is she one of them ones that talks? I like those. I struggle when I constantly have to create the conversation...
