Hearthfire - Thread #4 [merged topics]

Any news on it ? The lasttopic was closed so I COULN't post there....

http://tarr.uspto.gov/servlet/tarr?regser=serial&entry=85634522 - Hearth Fire TARR.
Zenimax (Bethesda) have registered "Hearth Fire" under "Computer game software for use with computers and video game consoles; downloadable computer game software offered via the internet and wireless devices".

This leads me to believe this is the second Xbox 360 timed-exclusive dlc for Skyrim.

http://tarr.uspto.gov/servlet/tarr?regser=serial&entry=85546517 - Dawnguard TARR.
The exact same method happened for the Dawnguard dlc.

Folks, Hearth Fire is the next dlc.

Thanks to user Phyber for pointing this out!

You can read the in-game book (Book Nine of 2920, The Last Year of the First Era) about Hearth Fire http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:2920,_Hearth_Fire,_v9

Nobody knows anything about it. It was just a name Bethesda trademarked. It could be the next DLC, or it could simply be Bethesda protecting their content, like they did with 'Fus Ro Dah'. It's too early to say yet.

It was trademarked by Bethesda, we don't know anything more than that. For all we can know it might even be a plug-inn/DLC for Dishonoured! Anything is possible. :) It does seem Elderscrolls related because of its name, but that's also the only link. It might just be the name of an upcoming bundle or something.

I expect the next Skyrim DLC will be out in 3 months. Regardless of whether it is Hearth Fire or not, I think Bethesda can't and won't miss a chance to sell new game content during the holiday months. The theory of it coming out in September is just more fuel for that fire.

They can't even properly communicate a release date for DG on ps3 and PC and you expect information on the next DLC?

I'd say we won't get anything on the next DLC for a good while.

Hopefully it will be bigger than Dawnguard. I loved Dawnguard. The storyline was great, the new land to explore was amazing, but I am hoping that they actually have something like Shivering Isles in store. I don't know much about this Hearthfire, but I am hoping it's something good, might not have nothing to do with their next DLC.

It's still fun to talk about it.

For my part, I am betting it's a DC title, and it will indeed be magic-oriented. Call it a hunch.

Could be epic. I suspect it will be very, very interesting.

Before they even think of releasing a DLC, PC and PS3 have to get dawnguard first, After that Bethesda has to try to get 90 percent or more of the broken parts of dawnguard fixed. Seeing how long it took them to make one patch, I will assume if Hearthfire is a actual new faction and questline DLC it will be out december or later. If it a minor plug-in with new spells the fall season.

I think (THINK) the rumours about Dawnguard (that patch that added snow elves archives or something like this) began to widespread in march or april.

I posted this on another forum, so here it goes...

We've all been speculating what Hearthfire is going to be about. Some of us have suggested ideas based on the book and month of the same name, but I think I figured it out.

According to the dictionary, a hearth is the floor of a fireplace. To some, this is obvious and holds no significance, but let's look at another definition, specifically the word "ashpit".

According to the dictionary, an ashpit is the receptacle at the bottom of a fireplace, a hearth. You're probably wondering why this matters.

Malacath's realm is the Ashpit.

But Daniel, what in the hell makes you think it's going to be the Ashpit? Well, let's look at the facts...

Orsinium has been moved right up on the Hammerfell/Skyrim border. Highly convenient. There's a loading screen about the place. Bethesda has also devoted a lot of time and effort in introducing us to Orcish culture through the strongholds. Orcs have been given a huge overhaul since Oblivion. What for? The largest piece of the puzzle, however, is Malacath. Why? If you look within the game's files, you'll notice that Malacath has unusually high stats, moreso than any other Prince by a HUGE margin. Why would they give him such high stats when you don't even fight him, let alone meet him? Curious thing.

With all these things considered, I believe that Hearthfire is going to take us to Orsinium and the Ashpit. It's possible that it could involve redeeming Malacath. There's a war coming. It's time for the Orsimer to take their place within the Empire, to respark their fire from the ashes.

Mark my words...

I woudl have liked them ( since I read somewhere are 100 ppl by now ) to split their teams in severalll groups and work separately on different projects of expansions like

25 on dawnguard 50 on DLC 2 and 50 on DLC 3

then Dawnguard joins the guys of DLC2 and bring to 75 while the other 50 work on DLC 3 ( wich will be the biggest expansion ) then when the DLC 2 is out all join DLC 3 ... or something like that ... just figuring out how coudl go ...
