Hearthfire - Thread #4 [merged topics]

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 5:15 am

"Heartfire is the ninth of the 12 seasons in the Elder Scrolls universe. It is considered to be a Fall (Autumn) month. (by our definition). It is homologous to September (March in the Southern Hemisphere)."

Probably will be released in September of this year.

"Annual Events during Heartfire:"

"1st of Hearthfire: The Rites of Moawita practiced by the Psijic Order." (probably in the DLC)
"3rd of Hearthfire: Tales and Tallows - A celebration of Necromancy. Many citizens fear this day, and avoid the streets." (Probably the main story of the DLC)
"6th of Hearthfire: Khurat is celebrated in the Wrothgarian Mountains." (located in High Rock,so i think will not be in the DLC)
"12th of Hearthfire: Riglametha held in Lainlyn." (Lainlyn is a village in Hammerfell,so is out of the DLC)
"19th of Hearthfire: Children's Day celebrated in Betony." (Betony is a small Isle off the Iliac Bay(...)South of Daggerfall,so is out of the DLC)
There ya go!! :goodjob:

I hope the poster who suggested Hearthfire will be about Orsinium and Malacath's realm of the Ashpit is completely correct.

That would make for an utterly fascinating DLC.

Magic based DLC would bore me to tears.

Eh, I kind of agree, but I think magic needs to be overhauled as well, so maybe fixing magic in the DLC would be nice. I don't want to go to Orsinium because it is in High Rock, and I want that to be the setting of the next game, if it is not in Elsweyr.

Orsinium is no longer in High Rock. The new Orsinium is on the Hammerfell/Skyrim border according to one of the load screens in Skyrim.

Yeh...but I remember reading something about necromancy (in the next DLC) and with the proves above,it makes more sense,anyway...i would prefer a DLC about "killing some thalmor"

Ok, so there's this guy on reddit. He leaked DLC info for a Mass Effect 3 MP DLC. No one believed him, but it turns out he was completely right. Then he leaked the next DLC, and what do you know, he's completely right again!

So, same guy, just made a post starring this picture:

And the caption says:

...I hope you mean it's LIKE Wizard's Tower, and aren't under the impression that's a screenshot >_>

Also, why would they go back to player homes after having done Dawnguard? Seems a bit... silly.

Hopefully it means that the DLC is aimed towards wizard characters, and has spell making (fingers crossed!)

You and me both! I'm not getting too hyped up over what could be fake, but a Wizard/magic themed DLC would be great.

I am really hoping Hearth Fire has to do with magic and improves magic gameplay. The guy who leaked ME3 DLC news was surprisingly accurate. I was skeptical of his first leak or two, but they kept being right, so now I am a believer.

lets add to that with even more facts

We are faithful only to the Old Ways -- it is essential always to remember the spiritual world while keeping our eyes open in the physical one. Performing the Rites of Moawita on the 2nd of Hearth Fire and the Vigyld on the 1st of Second Seed are essential means of empowering salutary spirits and debilitating unclean ones.. -The Old Ways, book in skyrim.
The Psijic Order is opposed to the Thalmor, believing that their supposed goal of returning the Altmer to their former glory is a lie, and that what they really want is power over all Tamriel. -taken from the Elder Scrols wiki

with that said, i think the next DLC will be something alone the line of Thalmor vs Psijic Order.

LOL, I like this. So dude posts a picture from a game that is... 6 yrs old. Someone posts pointing that fact out. And now, what 3 or 4 people post saying this indicates the dlc is wizard based?

It's an image from a dlc that is years old for an old game. That means it's false information. That's not to say the next dlc won't be magic based. But that image sure as heck doesn't point to it being magic based.

Okay, okay I'm sorry. You got to admit that's funny though. :hugs:

The "dude" has inside information. He proved it two times before.

And with your statement, in which you assume that said picture is supposed to be a screenshot of the next DLC, you show that you don't understand what the guy meant. He meant that the next DLC, "in a nutshell", or in other words, summarized, is going to me similar to the Frostcraig Spire DLC to Oblivion. This could mean a number of things - new spells, new summons, a new house for players - anything really.

Sorry, I just think it's very funny how people take the smallest things and run when it comes to Hearthfire. I'm not saying it won't be magic based. I'm betting it probably will, solely based on the fact that the last one involved fighters and vampires so next is mages. But still, I've heard some real UFO conspiracy worthy things trying to figure out Hearthfire.

Personally, I think it's an upgrade to the fire pits across Skyrim. You know, actually giving damage when you step into it, adding fire pokers and so on. Hearth..... Fire.

Bethesda aren't going to make a single Dawnguard or bigger sized DLC that centres on magic. They usually try to make the DLC cater to all types of players.

Also, that picture is of the Wizards tower, a DLC for Oblivion.

I wonder if they will announce it in September and then release it around Christmas or possibly first quarter of 2013.

Check back in about 7 months.
We will most likely be seeing a November-December release. I'm thinking it will be most likely late december.
