I wo..ga..sleep?

H&A: Clubbing (even though I can't dance and won't unless drunk, but can't get drunk), eating chocolate, drinking Irn-Bru, making sure people in the house know I'm in the house.

I used to draw/paint and do a lot more practical things, like building and cooking but now the girlfriend cooks because I'm in too late from work. :)

Reading, tennis, running, gym, skiing and a bit of cooking, oh and how could I forget going out and drinking a lot of G&T's and telling lots of girls that I love them.

I am a knowledge hoarder.

I am, too! There's so much useful and useless info in my head. People often wonder how I know half of the things I know. (I do, too... ) I love trivia shows like Who Wants to be a Millionaire and QI. I also like to click all over the internet, Wikipedia, university sites, specialty blogs, etc. I used to read a lot, too, about a lot of things, but opening a book and absorbing it all is too time-consuming for me at the mo.

If I find something interesting -- and I find pretty much everything interesting, from some angle -- I'll track it down until I've slaked my curiosity.

Guess I'm just inquisitive about the world.

I prefer to expunge useful information to make space for more crap, which is always more interesting.

Oh yeah, I was reminded that I also have a collection of http://vometia.com/bits/swords.html which I'm gradually adding to over time. I'm not entirely sure if I should admit that it was inspired by my Oblivion character's collection of swords she'd been decorating her Waterfront shack with!

Well, if all goes well with my enlistment in the Navy, I plan on investing money in photographing various forms of Googie and Art Deco architecture. Those two styles I have a very deep love for. I also have a love for business, philosophy, and encountering other cultures. I'd also love to learn multiple languages.
I plan to get fit and join the military. One guy I knew joined the army, got paid a good bit after training and was able to buy a new car. I on the other hand will likely try and get the longest time off possible, and go to other countries for vacation.

Territorial Army, you could join them its like part time Army but you still get paid for it?
I was thinking of joining them last year until I had enough training and was fit enough to join the regular Army, always wanted to be a Marine Commando B)

Hmm, other than gaming not much.

-Playin with Rainmeter a little bit. Took me a while to get started with it, but I'm learning.

-Video editing. Not so much lately, though. Made a handful of Halo 2 montages, was working on one for Reach, but lost interest in the game. Made one for WoW. Suppose now I could make one for The Old Republic.

However, I've been enjoying playing games more so that takes up most of my free time.

Meh I doubt it, I would try joining as a hobby to see if I can atleast cope, but I would likely join the army. I bet some friends from school will too, jobs around here are [censored]. Also my anxiety may be better, but im never going back to a school/college environment.

The RMC are the best, but they have the hardest training. If you apply, good luck.

It's the hard training I'd look for, something that really tests my limits of endurance. I'd need to significantly boost my stamina up though, my recent diet habits have left me rather unfit for someone my size.

Better training also maks you less likely to die I assume. What deep fried mars bars and whiskey are a perfectly healthy diet.

I would need laser eye before I even thought of trying to join anything, [censored] astigmatism.

I don't, but I live fairly close to Tod of Tod's Stuff who does have a forge in his back garden!

The price varies a lot: the cheapest was about £200 and the most expensive over £1,000. The price isn't always a reliable guide of quality though you'll be hard pushed to find much decent for under £200; Scotland's Armour Class are one of the best outlets for good, inexpensive swords: I should avoid the word "cheap" because they are very good IMHO. Albion are kind of the gold standard but they are very pricey, and some would say they tend to be somewhat overpriced. They are excellent, however, and pretty well consistently so.

What's interesting is that the more expensive a sword gets, the plainer it looks! Some of the £50 stainless steel wall hangers are incredibly over-decorated, whereas the swords costing hundreds aren't. I thought they were too plain to begin with but actually being unsullied by all that cruft gives you a better appreciation of the sword itself.

Talking of stainless steel, avoid at all costs: it's too brittle for use in blades as big as typical swords and even just waving it about can cause a high-speed projectile to unexpectedly break free. There've apparently been quite a number of injuries and even fatalities caused by that sort of thing.

The thought of those battered mars bars makes me sick but at the same time want one for a test taste, Whisky on the otherhand can stay where it is, in my cooler and my belly :D

Yeah I'm the same, thankfully I can afford the surgery but I don't know how high priced it will be for both eyes since my speciness is apparently an odd one.

I watch a lot of films. I used to read a lot, but I've slacked off recently, it's been too long since I've finished a book.

I'm starting rock climbing soon with one of the societies at my uni.
As part of my resolution to take up something new this year, I hope to get into living history re-enacting as well.

That's about it.

"About it"?! If you're with a society that takes their time period and themselves for even the least bit seriously, it'll consume loads of time and even more of your money.
Since it interests me, what time period were you thinking of?

Oh yes, oh yes.
I also like to read lots of stuff on subjects I already know about. In George Orwell's words, "the best books, he [Winston Smith] perceived, are those that tell you what you know already."

Once in my youth, when I was around 10-12, I made a promise that my life goal will be to know as much as I can before I die. I have all my life hoarded new information useful or not and in person I often amaze people with my "in-built dictionary".

I have developed a way of thinking what I have dubbed "higher level of understanding". I know so much about this world - be it biology, sociology or history - that every time I look something or hear something I know at least something about it beforehand, and I feel that I can understand things better. An objective, shall I say scientific way of seeing things free of emotion and prejudice. I have since started hoarding philosophical knowledge (which I have neglected before) and found similar ideas in ancient Greek philosophy.
