Wondering what everyone gets up to on their off-time.

Not school or work, please. Gaming doesn't count, either. I already know you study/work/game.

Me, I exercise, mod, play piano, watch anime (I've tired of movies and TV) and garden (yeah, I know, shut up, I enjoy it and it's good strength-training). I used to read a lot and go clubbing and dining out a lot, too, but I just don't have the time anymore. But I hope to get back to those activities, too, next semester.

So, now it's your turn.

I would say gardening, but then i do that for a living.

If we can't include gaming, then i have no hobbies.

But do you enjoy gardening in your off-time, too? If yes, then that counts. :)

In addition to gaming it's mostly reading, walking, working out and listening to music. A few times a week I watch a movie. I'd like to hang out with my friends more but everyone, myself included, is really busy with their studies right now and we don't exactly live in walking distance from one another. I do enjoy dining out as well, but I can't afford to do that often.

And concerts when I have the chance. I was going to go see Mastodon next Friday, but I was too late in getting tickets, the show's sold out. /sadface

I don't have a garden.

Do you enjoy gardening so much that you would do it even in your off-time, if you had a garden? I guess that counts. (What about pot plants? Get some pot plants, dude. Plant some mint. That stuff is awesome.)

I can my own sauces, salsas, pickles, etc. I'm more active during the spring and summer time when I can get fresh produce at the local farmers' market.

I like playing Bethesda games. That's the extent of my gaming interest.

I have collected antique letterpress printing equipment for quite a while and have around 350 fonts of hand set metal and wood printing types, some dating back to the 1800's but mostly early 20th century.
And I do a little fine printing on any one of 6 antique presses. I love the study of printing history since the time of Gutenberg.

I'm either riding or working on a 1960 Harley Davidson Panhead that I've owned since 1979. I am a survivor of a rather hard-core biker lifestyle.

I've been playing guitar & keyboards for nearly 40 years and write music strictly as a hobby and have a fairly well equipped home studio.
Currently I'm out of practice because Skyrim and other hobbies has been taking up a lot of my time.

I enjoy metal detecting in the warmer months.

I collect vintage Gilbert Erector sets, which are the equivalent of the British Meccano sets.

I collect old books, coins and some stamps.

I occasionally buy "junk" and sell "antiques".

Interesting stuff, guys. :) It's funny how you start to put a personality behind the person, just by extrapolating from their hobbies.

Lol. Not quite.

I try my best (kind of) to get as much music written/recorded as possible. I'm not really interested in anything else  (besides wasting time on forums like these)

Kind of a boring life.. but I enjoy it.

Let's see, I indulge myelf in...

My Little Pony: Frienship is Magic related things (one being collecting blind bag ponies)
Magic: The Gathering (a trading card game)
Reading (mostly fantasy)
Writing (not much but that's mostly because of time restraints, I don't write unless I have a few hours of uninterrupted free time ahead of me, which hardly ever happens)
Anime, documentaries and other interesting things like TED talks
Helping others
Taking walks in the summer (there is a tiny batch of trees, a park if you will, in the city of Reykjavík and recently a lot of bunnies have popped up there :D it's awesome to walk around with bunnies everywhere)
Pushing my little brother to grow further mentally
Playing board games with my buddies (stuff like Monopoly and we've got some D&D planned and quite possibly some Settlers of Catan after we get the ball rolling with tabletop D&D)

And other things not yet mentioned. But I also plan to learn how to play the piano once I've moved to some place where I can have enough space for a musical keyboard.

Listening to music.
I now have in interest in VNs, only read 3 (KS, narcissu and narcissu 2nd side).
I like cooking, cant cook much, but I like it.
I excercise.
I did do some walking before, but havent been in ages. I will start doing that again in the future.
Used to play the guitar, but gave up. Now im considering buying a book (along with a tuner, amp, headphones and cheap eletric guitar) and learning from that. I already own an acoustic, but would rather people not hear the abysmal sounds of me trying to learn the damn thing.

I browse the internet mostly.

On a related note I also have an ongoing effort to sort my collected pictures from the internet. Just passed 60,000 sorted today actually (with 21,000 unsorted to go).

I photograph things, play bass (occasionally), collect shoes, cook, mod, break things, try to fix the things that I broke, get irate with the things I can't fix and talk nonsense.

Well, if all goes well with my enlistment in the Navy, I plan on investing money in photographing various forms of Googie and Art Deco architecture. Those two styles I have a very deep love for. I also have a love for business, philosophy, and encountering other cultures. I'd also love to learn multiple languages.

Hunting. I hunt big game, small game, and everything in between. Even bagged a crow this year. But mostly, in the fall I hunt for waterfowl, ducks and geese, and only rarely other stuff. Turkeys in the spring too. The rest of the year, I go fishing. I was out ice-fishing yesterday and got some yellow perch and a few Northern Pike.

My other hobby is chess. I love reading chess-books, playing famous chess games, reading about strategy and tactics, and of course playing.
