Honestly I'm not enjoying Skyrim

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 10:41 am

You have said you have encountered many bugs and errors. But did you expect a perfect, free flowing open world game with no bugs?
This game has the least amount of bugs of any open world game. Yes, the patch has caused a little more.

Alot of the people that don't enjoy this game are listening to peoples opinions, and alway's thinking it, throughout the game, causing you also took think of it that way. I am not saying you are though.

no but I didn't expect a broken game that got even more broken with a patch. I'm sorry, but most of the time the game is a chore and I have patiently waited for something interesting to happen

Yea Devious I agree, I bought BOTH MW3 and Skyrim and im kind of regretting buying Skyim, at least they keep mw3 under control with bugs and all that, Bethesda should take a page out of their book and learn how to maintain and have a respectably polished game

Take previous game
Give it a paint job
Market as new game
Profit

Take a look at their book? Dont get my started. I could crap something better...

I've been playing Skyrim for about 27 hours right now and honestly the game isn't so great. I have to say though that the game looks absolutely beautiful. Let me say some of my complaints before you guys attack me.

The main story is very underwhelming, haven't enjoyed it at all.The sidequests can also be pretty boring too, nothing to write about.

Sad to hear you feel it in that way. For me this is first TES game which still keeps me really exited to play with same character after lvl 40. There are some bugs, but except them the game and it's mechanics fits just perfect for me. what you said about the main story it's true it's not so good as it could be, but for me the civil war was more main quest than the main quest itself. I have played them both through but I still see my character carrying greater honor because he defeated the Imperial army and liberated the Skyrim than because he slayed Alduin. Also I think the quest are not so important in Skyrim than in previous games because the exploration of Skyrim's world is thousand times more interesting than in it was in Morrowind or Oblivion. I have greatly enjoyed the game and I can't find a bad word about it if I'm not counting some bugs I have seen during the game.

7.5 is garbage, you should never play less than a 9.5 game on your own personal rating scale. You should quit playing this game and find some other message boards to post your feelings on. Thanks!

Games are held to a higher standard then lets say a movie. I'm not paying $60 for a movie, I'm paying 11 dollars and if its decent then I'm content. I didnt pay $60 for a decent game I payed that amount to have an epic adventure and all I got was [censored]

Movies are 2.5-3 hours max (usually). You've admittedly already played for 27 hours. Your computer probably has a calculator on it, figure it out.

Are you sure you are playing skyrim? Or are you sure you did play other open world games too, not just skyrim?

Like I said earlier I didn't play the full 27 hours. And if my time playing the game svcked then it wasn't worth it, if I saw a bad movie I'm going to be mad, if I played a mediocre game I'm going to be mad.

you guys defending Skyrim need to pull your head out of Bethesdas *** and be real for a second, sure its a great game in theory, but they executed it so terribly that im having a hard time getting immersed in it, its like they thought they could just impress us with a nice map and weather effects and flowing water, without addressing most of the things they should have been working on, im considering just going back to Oblivion or waiting for TESVI, either that or there better be a [censored] world-altering patch coming out to fix this abomination of a game

Mind telling us what kind of bugs you encounter "all the time"? I'm not happy with the game too I have problems with stuttering and other performance issues but aside from a dragon corpse getting stuck ontop of the gate in whiterun I didn't encounter a single bug.. a few glitches here and there but nothing bad or even worth talking about. The game is absolutely not perfect and the patch is kind of a joke but I love the game and it's alot of fun to play..

Maybe you just shouldn't play Open World RPG's and go back to FPS or Action Adventures with nothing to do in ..

Maybe your local game store will let you trade it in for MW3 (or Pokemon) so you can get some worth out of it.

its not hard to defend skyrim when its a vast improvement over oblivion in every way noticeable. honestly aside from no spell crafting or arena and smaller cities skyrim is bigger and better.

If you don't enjoy it don't play. Simple really.

Personally I have put over 100 hours(I'm on my second character now) into it and still find new places and new quests and more fun.

If you played any Call of Duty game you know thats not true, its not the same game there are always new weapons and perks. It also has one of the best online community out there. I chose Skyrim over it because of all the hype, now I know that was a mistake.

I feel bad for certain people who just don't know how to have fun. It doesn't even sound like some of you are playing the game. You make it sound like its your job to review every bug and balance issue. So many people love to dump off negativity on forums keep it to yourself, let us enjoy the game. We already have the game and don't care for your 27 hour review we didn't need it.

Try going into third person view while doing a dungeon crawl, it gives an entirely new perspective IMO

There always are new weapons, perks and maps? Wow, I could just mod that into Skyrim for free or buy a cheap DLC from Bethesda.

COD's games stopped from being "new games" to only being "Expansion Packs: New Maps, Weapons and Perks!"

Sounds like the OP made a point, was politely told another opinion, got incredibly butthurt that not everybody embraced his opinion, went to IGN forums to complain about his first world problems, rallied a bunch of [censored] from Vestibule (who have self-proclaimed themselves super trolls), then brought them over to make more comments in the Skyrim forums.

Oh wait, that's exactly what happened.

Are you saying oblivion is a less broken game? Sorry but that doesn't make any sense because they pretty much improved on everything that was in oblivion except maybe the leveling and the lack of spells.. But seriously oblivion is way worse (gameplay wise) than Skyrim. The only thing I actually like more in Oblivion is the setting, Skyrim is a nice place but just a bit to dull and grey I liked Cyrodill more..

Your opinion is in the minority as there are millions of others who feel just the opposite. If you don't like it, don't play and stop filling the forums with this negative BS. You must be looking for acceptance... unfortunately you won't find it here and nobody cares as we love this game.
