Is 30 hours in 7 days excessive?

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 4:03 pm

55 hours since release here... i've been using the rain as an excuse to stay in and play more. Even though its only rained 3 times since the 11th.

Damn it's totally raining here hehe

Just shy of 53 hours after getting the game on release day. I'm level 19 and only did the Main Quest up to right after you meet the Greybeards. (Though I just now decided to do the next one in the main quest line) The only faction quests I've done is the very first one of the Companions. For most of that time I've stuck mainly to the Whiterun area and it was the only major town I've visited, except for Markarth which a quest forced me to visit, and now more recently I've visited Riften to complete a quest. And I've also started to explore more beyond the Whitrun area, but I still haven't really gone too far up north or a lot of places down south. It's been mostly east and west of Whiterun. According to my quest stats I've completed 10 Quests, 56 Misc Objectives, 5 Main Quests, 3 Side Quests, 1 Companions Quest, and 1 Deadric Quest.

165 hours.....

165 hours in 10 days? Thats about 6 days without sleep.. unless you got the game much, much earlier then most.

Steam says 56 hours, and I got it 11-11-11 so that'd be over 11 days (counting the 11th and 21st).

Averaging about 5 hours a day. I don't guess that's bad.

No it's not. However 60 hours in 5 days is a bit too much. That's 12 hours a day! (not me, don't worry. I spend at least as much time here on forums as I do playing Skyrim :D)

Well I've put in 105, 100 on my main character and I started playing at 1:05 AM on 11-11-11 since installing it took a while thanks to Steam. I wouldn't call 30 in 7 days excessive at all. :whistling:

Edit: Actually now that I think about it I spent the Saturday and Sunday after launch helping my Dad move so I didn't even touch it those days. So I'd imagine if I had I'd be sitting in the 130 range. I really need other things to do I guess.

I'm on about 30h since release aswell.
and I think it's the last time I'm getting a game like this, there aren't enough hours in the day for 'life' and games like Skyrim!
the sunday last week I didn't nothing but play Skyrim, and although I loved every minute of it, I find the lack... going out.... fresh air... draining. and almost depressing. the day passed so quickly and it was monday again. :(
I didn't do anything except for get up and play Skyrim and go to bed again...

85 hours in 10 days. Would be more if I didn't have so much obligations.

lol!
so many obligations? you averaged 8.5h a day, you can't have that many obligations...

I don't consider myself to have "many obligations" and I'm lucky to live with my gf who picks up most of the housework :P
but I still struggle to get more than 1-2h game time in on a normal day.

I'm pretty sure my 30 hours looks like pure obsession to all my friends that bought the game.

No offense, but some of you guys should probably get a job, or go to school or something.

How long have you guys played?
The funny thing is I've only done about 5 of the main quests and only a couple of each of the guild quests, I'm exploring the world so much more than I ever did Oblivion's.
I'm so [censored] addicted to this game. I seriously have never had such fast addiction to a game before, but Skyrim is just incredible. I find myself playing for almost 3 hours at a time and all I will have accomplished is walking around a town talked to a few people, maybe explored a cave and maybe attempted a small quest.

60 hours 6 days.

Nope, not only have I managed worse in my past, I would have managed to surpass 30 hours this week were it not for the fact I have a son. Still managed to work my way up to level 26 though :hubbahubba:
