Is 30 hours in 7 days excessive?

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 3:08 pm

According to studies, people are Already accused of excessive gaming if they play more then 2 hours per day.

So yeah...welcome to the family,everyone.

That is hilarious. More then 2 hours a day is excessive to play a game but working 12 - 14 hrs a day is completely sane by those same people lol

I'm at 45 and I didn't get to start playing until my break began on Friday, so what 45 hours in about 4 days, I feel so dirty.

I'm sitting at about 72 hours since release.

(36 hours of that was during the first weekend, including Monday which I had off)

How long have you guys played?
The funny thing is I've only done about 5 of the main quests and only a couple of each of the guild quests, I'm exploring the world so much more than I ever did Oblivion's.
I'm so [censored] addicted to this game. I seriously have never had such fast addiction to a game before, but Skyrim is just incredible. I find myself playing for almost 3 hours at a time and all I will have accomplished is walking around a town talked to a few people, maybe explored a cave and maybe attempted a small quest.

30 hours is light I think. I'm at 77 hours :)

What is purely unhealthy is the forum folk who condemn others for things they disagree with. That's personality disorder.

Spending 30 hours on something you enjoy, perfectly ok in my books...try not to go so hard on yourself ;)

Nah I wouldn't call it PD, I'd say its more 'Being Jelly'

I wish (sincerely) that I could sink 100+ hours into this game within a week, its TOO compulsive.

I'm 130 hours in?... Been playing since day 1. It would only be excessive if I had other things to do.. but I don't.

26 hours. 1 day.

(Don't judge. I had 24 hour duty and got relieved late.)

I've got about 50hrs since I started playing on 11/14....at level 30 currently.

I've explored the central area around Whiterun and all areas to the west, southwest, and northwest, working my way clockwise to the east/northeast. Just now getting close to Solitude...I can see it from the hills now.

I'm really excited that at level 30, this game is still hard, that I've still yet to see the top tiers of armor and weapons and creatues, and that I've still probably got a full half of the map yet to fully explore....

All these hours being listed....probably pale in comparison to the marathon gaming sessions people did while Roleplaying AD&D.

I recall me and my brothers would order in pizza, camp out at whoever's house we were at (I'd usually host the game) and play the 'entire' weekend, nearly 24hrs of gaming or more in two days, much more if we had a holiday weekend.
