Is 30 hours in 7 days excessive?

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 2:56 pm

How long have you guys played?
The funny thing is I've only done about 5 of the main quests and only a couple of each of the guild quests, I'm exploring the world so much more than I ever did Oblivion's.
I'm so [censored] addicted to this game. I seriously have never had such fast addiction to a game before, but Skyrim is just incredible. I find myself playing for almost 3 hours at a time and all I will have accomplished is walking around a town talked to a few people, maybe explored a cave and maybe attempted a small quest.

104 hours, 95 of which were on my first character.

Don't judge.

I have a similar gameplay style. Im afraid to venture to far from Whiterun incase I see it all and ruin it :( Unfounded I guess

20 hours...um...I've been reading here a lot more than actually playing the game. I'm waiting for something. A patch, a certain mod...something. And the construction thing. Need that before buying a house, I'd like to customize them first. (*Very* picky.)

To the rest of the normal world, absolutely, yes that's obsessive. Try not to tell them.

To everyone playing Skyrim, that's probably somewhat typical, with many people having played much more, at least until the excitement dies down.

And for many of your more serious and/or addicted MMO players, that's probably just a typical gaming week.

Depends on what your responsibilities are. For some, 10 hours so far since release might be too much. For others 150 hours might be just fine.

Well 150 hours might be unreasonable but you get the idea ;)

I was about 52ish hrs in the first week which after doing the math turned out to be about 1/3 of my life during that week spent doing nothing but playing skyrim haha. I'm now up to well over 85 hrs though and its not even been 2 weeks since release yet so you definatly shouldnt feel bad about 30 hrs in a week lol.
