That's one bet you will likely win, as long as i've used amazon they've never been late once.

Honestly i kind of like it...its my outlet to do my own thing....i did date a gamer girl once and honestly it was cool and not cool...cause its really all we had...my wife now actually hang out....i have games for my gaming fix...i dont need a woman for that too....women are fun for MUCH different reasons

idk, i'd at least have to have a partial gamer girl cause i spend a lot of time on my computer and if she wasnt a gamer girl she would get mad at me a lot more lol. i would spend time with her and what not but i'd also spend a lot of time on games.

My wife isn't a gamer at all, so I too have to wait until the wife and kids are at daycare or asleep...
You send your wife to daycare?

My girlfriend doesn't play much some Harvest Moon here or there and a couple wii games, but I made the foolish mistake of getting her interested in Oblivion. Now she wants to play Skyrim on release.

Although she'll get her chance as I now have to go to a job interview this Friday at 3:30PM. Was hoping to play from Midnight release until I passed out, but with an interview that's not the wisest idea.

My COD arrived today from Gamestop so I'm thinking my Skyrim will make it on Friday. They upgraded my shipping so that's cool..

I want a wife that plays Skyrim too

Me too :( Mine has 3d vision problems because she is short sighted in one eye and long sighted in the other, this means even the most basic 3 dimensional games (which are actually still 2d) gives her a nasty headache!

Alas I will have to play Skyrim alone :(

How is it that all us gamers ended up marrying/dating someone who's not into them at all (usually?)

It's truly depressing.

If you paid for release day delivery then you should get it on release, otherwise get your money back!

Make the reservations. They use UPS Overnight (or two day) and I have never had a release day delivery not show up on release day when I ordered from Amazon.
You're lucky, then. I've been burned twice this year with Release Date Delivery. Dark Souls CE and BF3, both came the day after. Due to this, I preorder all of my games from Gamestop. It didn't hurr that they are having a midnight release.

Because a hobby don't define a relationship? :lightbulb:

However, let me tell you, common shared intersts really help. I know I'm a very lucky man I found a geek girl wife. We can really pretty much share everything that interests us.

Oh please don't tell me that. I can't see things in 3D because I'm mostly blind in one eye. Of course, I can play Oblivion so I'm hoping Skyrim doesn't give me a headache, make me dizzy or any of that fun stuff. >_<;

Also, my husband loves computers. And I work on the computer from home, so yeah, we have that in common. Fortunately, we're not living in mom's basemant with Star Wars posters all over the walls.

While I don't usually use overnight shipping for Amazon, I think you'll get it tomorrow. I've had one thing I bought off Amazon arrive a day early (don't know how it happened, but it did). So, needless to say, I have faith in Amazon.

I've had Skyrim pre-ordered from Amazon since July. I've paid to have it delivered on release date. I'm guessing Amazon uses UPS or Fedex since the regular mail probably won't run that day, being Veterans Day and all.

So unless the mailman steals my copy, Skyrim will be at my door on 11/11/11. My husband thinks there's no way that it will arrive on its delivery/release date, so we've made a bet. The loser pays for dinner at the winner's favorite restaurant. So, assuming Skyrim does arrive this Friday, I will enjoy an excellent dinner in addition to an excellent game :)

So, you will not pay for a dinner with your Husband, you'll only go have a dinner if he loses and has to pay? What an unbalanced wager! xD
Go have a nice dinner regardless if Skyrim arrives on friday, more important than a game!

Enjoy your dinner!!

We will probably get it for Christmas, so that me, the hubs, and the kids can fight over it.
