I think IGN's reputation is tarnished. Ignorant bastards.

its people like you who have ruined the videogame industry. if you pay top dollar for a game you should get top quality product. end of story. only a complete moron would be happy paying top dollar for a half finished product, because they are too stupid to know any better. yes bugs will happen, but the amount of bugs/glitches and other problems that skyrim has are completely unacceptable.

They are acceptable when you understand how common it is with ALL games of this size, no matter who the developer is. Only a moron is unfulfilled and doesnt know how to appreciate whats in front of his face, because hes too busy with his conceptual expectations, speculations, and desires. And that sir, is you.

I think the blame lies more on production companies like Ubisoft, EA, etc. Deadlines are deadlines.

nope. they will keep doing it as long as people buy halfassed products and blindly defend them. its smart business on their part. if you can put half the work in for the same money why not when people will blindly defend you and keep buying your crap products. when more people start demanding to get what they actually pay for you will see a lot better games. until then they are going to keep selling half finished crap to the idiot masses.

1) They never had a golden reputation regarding bugs (You make amazing games Bethesda, but they are released with bugs, which is something I have come to terms with and am confident you will fix)

2) PS3 lag issues are more or less fixed for me since 1.02. Although resistances and miscellaneous quests are broken now, at least I can enjoy extended play. By miscellaneous quests, I am more leaning toward the ones that citizens give you (like retrieving Queen Freydis' sword for the Windhelm blacksmith) that simply do not start.

Bugs aside, this is the greatest game I've ever played, and I will not let negativity others spam across the forums ruin my experience

IGN's reputation ceased being relevant many years ago, if it ever was relevant. I never have found much use for their reviews and this one is no different.

the game is ambitious. Have you ever tried to code anything yourself? Logical errors, syntax errors, etc. They all happen in ANY game. This game has a lot of content. The more "moving parts" the more can go wrong. Anyone ever notice how often cars break down or have problems? Yup.

I bet smashing your copy of Skyrim felt good didnt it? Sometimes you guys make it really hard to be sympathetic.

I think the problem lies with Sony and not Bethesda on this issue. It seem just about every big multisystem game that comes out has way more problem on the PS3. Mostly to do with how the game runs on the system...I dont have a PS3 but any forum I have been on seems to validate my opinion......in my opinion...lol

I read the quote that was posted, that quote was directed at the PS3 version.....as for broken quest , bugs, glitches etc....those issues have been addressed in a million other posts people.

 ...You keep dreaming and conceptualizing the day a video game has zero bugs and/or flaws, thats fine with me. But please do not bring that philosophy in any other aspect of life, you will die a very bitter man. Or, actually do, I really dont care lol.

its because they don't take the time to properly code/optimize their ports on the ps3. has nothing to do with sony.

If you live in 2007, maybe, but now? No, not at all. Most multiplatform companies are doing very well with the PS3, now... very well. This issue is Bethesda's fault, not some inherent fault of the platform. That's like saying crappy ports to the PC are crappy because it's a problem with PCs. It's not.

No, a lot of people have lag issues. Its just that Bethesda doesn't want to admit that a lot of people are having issues. The game is unplayable on the ps3 after a certain amount of playtime. Bethesda has improved performance, but the lag is still their.

Oh really? Well my friends beg to differ, they've clocked in over 100 hours of Skyrim each and are yet to see the lagg everyone is complaining about, as with me and all the apparent broken quests, and game breaking bugs/glitches.

Edit: Fixed a few mistakes.

if only i acknowledged other platforms other than PC, but i don't :turned:

all i read was Skyrim is epic but on PS3 blah blah blah and so blah blah blah

so for me Bethesda's diamond reputation still holds

well your friends are a insignificant fraction of the people who bought skyrim so what they experience doesn't mean that hardly anyone is having problems.

I've noticed zero problems besides the occasional freeze like once every two weeks it seems, and that's it.
IGN blows, in my opinion, but whatever.
